Not magic, but much much better than Goo Gone or Goof Off
While this doesn't exactly work like magic, it definitely works better than Goo Gone or Goof Off. Tenants of ours put up those adhesive mounted magnetic screen doors. I guess they didn't want to ask us to buy regular screen doors, and they probably thought that they wouldn't do damage to the door frames because they were adhered with adhesive strips. WRONG! The adhesive had baked onto the door frames and the wood trim around it. There was no way to remove them without peeling the paint off and leaving hard and baked on adhesive residue on the vinyl door frames. I tried both Goo Gone and Goof Off. I spent about 20 minutes using a plastic putty knife and managed to remove about an inch of residue. I tried this and although it still wasn't as easy as some videos show, I was able to remove all the adhesive from 2 doors in about an hours time. Maybe progress would have been faster if I'd been able to use a regular putty knife or razor blade, but as I was working on vinyl clad door frames, I needed to use a plastic scraper so as not to scratch the finish. The spray is very low in odor and doesn't leave any oily trace behind so working with it wasn't uncomfortable or messy at all.

READ THE WARNINGS
Extremely effective, but wear a mask and goggles while using this stuff. I was wearing goggles but some still got in my eyes and it hurt. No permanent damage that I can tell, but better safe than sorry.

Worked well for me.
After reading the negative reviews , which I always do first before buying on Amazon, I decided that most them were due to either not following product directions or not using common sense. I went ahead and bought this โ3M adhesive removerโ and iโm glad i did. I used it on old duct tape adhesive that was left on plastic, leather and vinyl trim after the tape was removed. The residue was partly dried, but mostly extremely gummy! I applied the remover to a terry rag and began, with light pressure, rubbing. To my delight there was noticeable adhesive removal almost immediately. I then completed the task with confidence, wiping my work frequently to avoid letting the product dry. This product works MUCH easier and faster than โGoof Offโ, which i tried first.

As advertised
Very good, but didnโt get all the glue off. There were a few tiny spots that were super hard and didnโt want to risk damaging the paint.

Works fast!
Works great at removing decal glue on a vehicle. I also found a couple other jobs it does great at! Clearing up faded and discolored headlights on a vehicle and removing chalk paint on windows! Super quick and easy too!

Removes adhesive residue, but also damages automotive paint!
Do not use on car paint, it will strip it. I used it on a 2025 vehicle to remove 3M tape after removing a spoiler and it stripped the paint in several areas, so be warned. I should have read more of the 1 star reviews. As far as removing adhesive, it seems to do a really good job at that, but it's far too strong for automobile and likely any paint use. The instructions say to only use on sealed paint. My paint was definitely sealed, but that didn't seem to matter. If you have some adhesive residue, just spray on a rag and wipe, and it takes that stuff right off. But keep away from any kind of extended use on paint.

Performed like no other .. perfect!
Couldnโt believe how great it worked. I tried so many others solvents/ removers that are said to be the best; they did next to nothing. The 3M effortlessly remove the sun baked glue and fill bet strings nothing else could!! Iโve told others and they canโt believe how good it works. Very satisfied!!!!!

Struggled with different products - gave this a try , over all not bad....
I removed the 3M film off the hood of my car and it left a lot of adhesive behind, it was very difficult and time consuming trying to use Goof Off, mineral spirits, actual Home Depot adhesive remover sprays ........I finally had a choice to either pay a detail shop to do it or just spend a little money on the 3M adhesive remover as seen in this listing you are looking at. Well - it wasn't perfect however it was the absolute best by a mile compared to the other things I've tried. 1) spray liberally over the area 2) let it soak in - a minute or so will suffice 3) use a plastic scraper blade ( I did this for my application) and slowly scrape off the adhesive 4) once the bulk of the adhesive has been scraped away - apply the 3M spray again - allow to soak for about a minute 5) wipe with a cloth, not paper towel, use a cloth, apply a little pressure and everything wipes off 6) wash the area with soap and water to neutralize the adhesive remover NOTE: keep this product off composite headlights - it will stain it - warnings are on the bottle. Over all it worked for my stubborn issue - I prefer something to literally melt the adhesive off to wipe off so it gets a 4 out of 5 star rating given the cost of this product BUT its cheaper than a detail shop would charge and it actually took me 55 minutes to get the job done, this includes the hood and bumper area. PACK YOUR PATIENCE and create a technique that works for you. PATIENCE is key. Yes I would buy again. Good luck!
