I’ve taken to putting this on a heating mat under some plants I’ve got growing indoors. At 75 degrees, this is STILL solid enough - harder than chapstick - it makes it hard to use. My dog, Hudson Shepherd, is getting used to me smearing it on his nose and, used once a day since we got it, it’s made a YUGE difference. He’s got the driest nose of any dog I’ve ever met or seen. I’m going to try another brand/product or two. Meanwhile, I’ve taken to using O’Keefe’s chapstick which is a little easier to apply and seems to be working. Update April 22, 2023: Welp… back to the Nose Balm. Turns out, after several trials, several years of going back and forth with first one brand (he was HIGHLY allergic to) to another, then another human chapped lip treatment, then petroleum jelly, it’s very likely what Hudson Shepherd had was simply an infection with PseudoMRSA (he’d been cultured with it about 5 years ago, treated for a post-neutering infection). So, being the doctor (a veteran, but not a vet), I started him on clindamycin again and two to THREE times daily applications of Bodhi Dog NOSE BALM. It’s been 7 days, the deep cracks in his nose have almost completely healed, the dry scale has almost flaked off completely, we have his allergy under control more or less with heroic doses of OTC antihistamines (with his vet’s approval), he’s on his way to recovery and, like many human medical conditions, this will “only” require twice daily treatments, for life, probably. Sorry we lost track of treating this but it went from chronic to suddenly worse and, well, here I am buying another tub. Thanks folks for a great product.

We needed something to help our puppies nose. He has allergies and had a dry spot right on the back of his nose. Honestly the reason initially that we bought this product was because of the name "Bodhi Dog" We named our puppy Bohdi after a Patrick Swayze character in a movie where he played a thief. Our puppy when he was a baby looked like he was wearing a burglar mask. Anyway this product works great. after the first application we could tell a very big difference in his dry nose. We have used it for a week now and his nose is back to normal.

My pups don’t object to this being put on their dry noses as they have other products. Plus it does a great job of moisturizing and healing their dry noses. I highly recommend this Bodhi Nose Balm!

Ye dog seems to have allergies but the vet was of no help, and his nose (the dog, not the vet) gets crusty and occasionally his nostrils are semi-blocked. I put it on daily and give him a treat to distract him, but the Nose Balm is totally gone in a minute of determined licking. It might help if it tasted bad without smelling bad, but apparently it doesn't. I continue to use it because it's slightly better than nothing. But sadly not by much.

After 5 days our dog's dry/cracked nose is much better.

I spent hundreds of dollars in vet bills to try to find out why my 14-1/2 year old German shepherd's nose was bleeding. Then I found out about this product and figured, what the heck, it's inexpensive and it's all natural. What do I have to lose? I was shocked at how quickly and how well it worked. Her dried-up, gnarly-looking nose returned to its normal shiny, moist condition. At first she didn't like having it applied, and she fought me. But after she licked her nose and got a taste of it, she stopped resisting. Now she actually sits and waits when she knows it's time to apply it.

My dog is on medication that causes her to have a dry nose. This balm works well despite her best efforts to lick it off.
