What is the dimension of the speaker face from the mounting surface? I only have about 3/8" where part of the speaker meets the dash.

My application for my Toyota Solara was quite different and difficult, having to drill new mounting holes, etc. plus I reused the stock grills that were already on the rear deck. Sorry

chris u.; chris t. here. sorry about delay in answering question, had to find time to pull car panel off to measure. these speakers from across the edge, the holes are 3-1/8" center to center of hole. diagonally across the 'face' of the speaker the holes are spaced 4-1/2". the holes are not round, but slotted; with the slots diagonal in towards the center of the speaker. hope this helps.
