No taste wins! I put a scoop in my coffee in the morning to sneak in more protein into my day. I would highly recommend!

I wanted to try a different brand of unflavored grass-fed beef protein powder as a comparison, since I usually order Prime Protein by Equip. The smell when opening the bag was off-putting, and the strong taste as well as the odor dominated the smoothies I made, even when adding flavor extracts; it reminds me of broccoli or mustard greens going bad in the refrigerator, which really takes away from a delicious drink! I will not be buying this again...

Very nice product. I didn't notice any funky smell or nasty aftertaste to this protein powder at all. It mixes up instantly as soon as you put it in the water and it dissolves quickly. Highly recommend this product and I use it in my protein shakes and flavor with whatever I have on hand. I usually will sweeten it with some raw honey or agave syrup. Definitely recommend. Some of the products have I have seen out there come with a label with a California Proposition 65 warning on it. This one does not, considering it's grass-fed it's probably your best value on Amazon.

Nutritionally IMO this is a great product, but am sharing that the unflavored product definitely has a very strong beef flavor, similar to bouillon.

I’ve been using this for 8 months. June 2025 I noticed the exterior of the package changed to sport vs centurion. And the product also changed. Not ingredients but the way it’s processed. When you put it in a beverage it’s clumpy and does not mix well. When you put it in a smoothie it’s also gummy. The pic describes it best. On the left side of the scoop is the old processing. It mixes well and melts like sugar. On the right side you can see the difference. I contacted customer services and explained, they graciously sent another bag but it’s the same. Clumpy etc. does not mix well. Hope this changes back to the original processing or I’ll cancel the subscription.

Ok, first of all the reviews about flavor are ridiculous and perhaps come from people used to fake “flavors”! I was looking for a good quality pure beef isolate protein and that’s exactly what I got! The flavor is so good that I can eat it with a spoon! You can easily have it with plane water in my opinion. Or you can simply add coconut water, or milk, a bit of cinnamon powder… or whatever else and it’s gonna be delicious! This is going to be my go to powder!

Either they changed this product or I got a bad batch. I’ve been buying this for awhile, before it was centurion now it’s Sport. Centurion tasted bad but you get used to it and it tasted like beef, the aftertaste anyway. Sport on the other hand, which was my most recent shipment, was pretty bad. If I had to describe the flavor, it would be that of Menudo. Now I love menudo, it’s one of my favorite Mexican dishes, but I don’t love menudo tasting protein powder. I also noticed it clumps up quite a bit, more than usual this batch. Lastly I noticed that every time I opened up the bag, the smell of ammonium hits me in the face. I don’t think I’ll purchase again.

Rather than going into this thinking you are getting an over sweetened and over flavored protein powder, think like your going to have beef bouillon. Rather than trying to add it to a fruit smoothie, which is bad food combining, add it to soups, vegetable dishes, just like you would other bouillon. It is an excellent , clean product and great easy to digest complete protein!
