Good, as expected
Seem to work as expected. Got the small one 6000btu, as our windows only open 11.8" so this just fit. It's a little noisy for the size, but does the job. Much better than a portable one. Got a different model 14000btu, and it's a freaking nightmare. This one arrived nicely packaged, undamaged, and was as expected easy to install. Had it in the window within 10mins. Remote works, has some odd functions you will need to memorize if needed. Has a self clean function and connects to LG Smart platform, that assuming links to Alexa or something. Overall am pleased with this purchase. Only issue is the noise, it's pretty loud for size, but everything else is good. Almost wish just got a handful of these for each room instead of their trash 14000btu one

Waste of money
This AC has been the BIGGEST waste of money. I bought this AC for a 100 SF bedroom, hypothetically a 6000 BTU AC should cool that without any issue. Even if I keep the door closed, this AC doesn’t cool the room down sufficiently. To compare, I have an 6000 BTU GE unit that cools an 150 SF room without any issues. Additionally, this AC is LOUD. Whatever it says in the description about how quiet it is, DO NOT believe it. I had ACs from the early 2000s that were quieter than this unit. Also, the wifi capability on it is very odd- if the unit is connected to wifi/the app that is the ONLY way you can control it. In other words, when using the app as the remote, the buttons on the AC don’t work. It’s also a pain to switch it back and forth, and isn’t as seamless as it says. Finally, the vents only move side to side, so depending on how the room is set up, if you don’t want the AC blowing directly on you, that probably isn’t an option. I would have returned it, but by the time I got it set up and used it- that window had passed. Avoid this AC, it is not worth the money.

Wow!!!
This is one of the good purchase I can definitely vouch for. My living room is immediately getting cooler and also I have a control through WiFi to shut on and off if I forgot or I want to be back at home and inside room is not heated up anymore as this product can be started earlier before you reach home through WiFi. Well spent money and the design is 👍🏽👌🏾

Good unit
I use this in my shop located in north Georgia and it does a good job. I do think the temp it shows off but not a big thing for me. Maybe overrated for the btu output but my shop is not fully insulated.

Please don’t buy this…
ITS ABNORMALLY LOUD! Every time the freon kicks on it sounds like a sledgehammer striking through my wall as the fan drones like a dying lawn mower. This thing vibrates my whole wall and for a new unit it concerns me. I’ve noticed cracks forming above my window since I installed it a few months ago (NOT GOOD). I’m used to sleeping with a fan or some tv noise in the background, but this unit jolts me awake at night. The a/c noise overpowers and drowns out tv volume (on both fan speeds 1 and 2) so it’s not practical for smaller areas. It noticeably uses more electricity than I thought, when the a/c jolts on it causes my lights to glitch/dim for a sec while the unit sounds like it’s working overtime (I know that this is common for high powered a/c units but this one isn’t big or high powered). After letting a/c run on its lowest setting 60-63 degrees for about an hour or two it becomes cooler in my room. Overall it disappoints me that a new “name brand” LG unit operates this loud and clearly doesn’t preform as well as old units used to. What initially drawn me to this unit was that it was WiFi enabled and it was smaller, but it’s honestly NOT worth it. * —- A customer review I read after buying this said they noticed there isn’t a water line or drain with a water plug/opening in the back of the unit, so how does the water properly drain out ? This had to be an intentional design flaw for LG, it’s called Product Obsolescence. I will be surprised if the unit lasts me another 2-3 years in the summer. If I knew all this stuff earlier I would have saved the box and returned it right away.

don't recommend it
no control for tilting the blades up and down, i took this for granted, so shame on me but also shame on LG for not having this control. really really dumb. Seems kind of underpowered compared to 10 year old GE at same size which I got this to replace. But it works at lower outside temperatures. louder than expected well i would never buy this again but i'll live with it for a couple years.

Very Noisy
Very easy to install & operate. It's cooling capacity is not what I thought it would be, has a hard time cooling down a 144 sq.ft room unless than fan is on hi speed. The noise issue is the biggest problem; when the compressor comes on there is a very loud rattling noise that makes sleeping difficult & when the compressor drops out it does so with a loud "thunk". Do not recommend simply due to the noise factor.

Go buy something else
Edit: found another bug, if you use the app’s schedule function to turn on the ac, it has a tendency to turn on the condenser less often. I’ve seen instances where the room temp was 74 and the ac set to 70, and the condenser was still not turning on. To fix, just reboot the AC. As a result, I never use the scheduled turn on function anymore. This is the weakest window ac I’ve ever had, and I’ve used some no name 6000btu ones before. It struggles to cool even a 200 sq ft room. Took an hour to bring it from 85f to 75f. Also the built in thermometer can be way off, I’ve had instances where the room is 79 degrees and the ac thinks it’s 73 degrees, and since I set it to 74degrees, it mistakenly thinks it has reached the target temperature and stopped cooling.
