I liked good Chicory – started to drink it in addition to coffee. I recently compared these 3 versions side by side: (A) Worldwide Botanicals Organic French Chicory Root (ground, brews like drip coffee) (B) Straight from France chicory root powder (soluble) (C) Straight from France French chicory extract, liquid I was already drinking (B) for a year, and it is great! It replaced for me the equally great Leroux Regular Instant Chicory 7oz/200g (it was cheaper but disappeared from Amazon offerings after August 2025 – perhaps, tariffs related?) I found (A) is as good or better than (B), but it tasted different - some bitter notes over a fuller flavor gamut! However, I was unimpressed the liquid product (C) which is distributed by the same company as (B). It is a completely different version of chicory, but unfairly bundled together with (B) for Amazon reviews. The liquid chicory version is a fairly bland at the recommended serving amount and even twice as much, but it tastes progressively sour if it is diluted less to maximize any flavor. I would also mention that I also previously tried nuKAF by Gourmanity Instant Chicory Coffee Alternative (Brews like regular coffee) and didn’t like it. In conclusion, (A) is 5 of 5 stars, (B) is 5 of 5, (C) is 1 of 5. I like to alternate (A) and (B) but I am not sure I have a reason to give more than 1 out of 5 for (C). (C) is not flavorful and not economical.

I had to give up coffee for health reasons. I was drinking cocoa, but it wasn't the same. Then I found this. I am so happy with this chicory root. It satisfies that craving for a dark, rich cup of coffee. Bonus - it's good for me!! I use 1 tbs in a French Press - it delicious.

This is a nice coffee and even tea substitute since I am needing to stay away from all caffeine right now due to my intercististial cystitis. More than the just the caffeine, I was missing the whole "process" or "behavior" if you will. I was missing my Italian Sweet Cream creamer and holding my warm mug. My decaffeinated coffee (different brands tried) must've had enough caffeine in them that my bladder could detect. Sorry to be so blunt but for those with my condition, you will probably understand why I am writing this. This order only took one day to arrive and I was so very happy when it did. I made a pot of chickory non-coffee right away. It doesn't have the coffee aroma but the flavor was fine with my creamer. I might should add, I was already used to drinking a coffee/chickory blend ever since I visited Louisiana a few years back. So for someone that has never drank any chickory before, they might need to get used to the flavor. I'm not sure. Glad to know there is B6 in drinking chickory!

Love the flavor added to coffee so less caffeine & bitterness

This is my first time using chicory as a coffee substitute. I couldn't be happier! I gave up coffee a few weeks ago and even though I finally stopped physically craving I still missed the flavor of coffee. I decided to try the organic chicory instant powder to try out the flavor but also because chicory is a Prebiotic and is going to be good for me anyway. I was so pleasantly surprised. If someone had served this to me and not told me it wasn't coffee I don't think I would have known. I might even like it better. No stomach acid problems it's just wonderful and I feel like I'm doing something really good for myself. Happy happy

I've been using this for over 3 years now! When I needed an alternative to coffee, this hit the spot! Smooth and robust flavor profile. It comes ground and works great for French press, drip, or pour over. If you want to use it as a coffee alternative or decaf option in the afternoon, it is hard to tell the difference - especially when using a French Press. For the past year, I have been adding a tablespoon to my regular coffee which I make in a Chemex. I creates a balanced cup with additional benefits! Chicory is a prebiotic - so you are supporting your gut health, lowering inflammation, enhancing your immune function just to name a few benefits! Go with the organic and you won't be disappointed!

I really enjoy drinking chicory, and this one has become one of my favorites. The flavor is smooth, mild, and very pleasant, with no bitterness. It dissolves easily and makes a comforting cup any time of the day. I’m very happy with the quality and will definitely buy it again. Thank you for offering such a nice product!

Good product. It actually tastes good caffeine free and good source of inulin . Good by itself brewed in cofee machine or mixed with grounded cofee.
