This product is not certified Kosher but there is no animal product that is used. Just Like Chicken is 100% plant based. **Q: Is the soy sourced from the USA?** A: The packaging says it's made in the USA but can't say where the soy is sourced from. I would contact the manufacturer for that question. **Q: Is it ok to heat less time in the microwave? 5 minutes makes it difficult to chew.** A: If you use the microwave, it will heat up the product, but not soften it very much. Doesn't taste exactly like chicken, it taste more like chicken skin. Which is pretty good, cook it in the pan with water like directions say, an then after that I recommend putting it in a frying pan with a little bit of oil till you get it crispy.
