Had to replace our old one in our hot tub. This worked perfectly!

Ordered the HCD-55 as a replacement ozone generator for my hot tub. It did not produce any ozone light comes on nothing happens. So I thought i received a defective one so i requested a replacement. The replacement did the same thing. the light comes on but nothing happens. After looking at this unit it runs on normal 120/240 volt connections so all your hot tub controller does is turn it on or off. So I know it was on and working based on the light. I did test a little further by using a 4amp female connector so I could plug it in separate from the hot tub controller and it did the same thing. If you look at where the ozone exit is there is an intake right next to it and it is in the same little box as the exit so i am not sure if this thing could ever actually work. Both the intake and exhaust are in the same place even if it actually produced any ozone, it would take the lease path of resistance go out the intake. I would not suggest purchasing the HCD-55 based on my experience.

Much better price than the OEM replacement ozone generators sold by the various spa parts companies. I'm not entirely convinced that an ozone generator makes much of a difference, especially in a spa like ours that doesn't have a 24/7 circulation pump. However, for the price it really is a no-brainer. This was a 15-minute installation in our Healthy Living HL-7 hot tub.

Seems to work fine. Easy install. I think it only runs when heater is on? But havent had a ozone smell really in the water. But does seem to prevent my cover from smelling.

The one in my spa runs 24/7 and I usually get about a 18 month ozonator lifespan. This model is my favorite as it works good, lasts the expected amount of time and is reasonable in cost.

I have a Marquis spa that is about 20 years old, and this ozone generator replaced the original UV light generator. It was easy to secure this item in the hot tub, and the tubing just plugged in to the existing tubing with minimal difficulty. The plug on the generator plugged right in to the my circuit board in the same place as the old generator, so wiring was a snap. Very happy with this product.

This unit did not produce any O3. It turned on and the light was green but nothing came out. I’m guessing there is a bad batch of these since others have complained about it not producing any output of ozone.

Excellent fit. Better than the original performance. Instantly can see a difference in water quality. Finally can smell ozone in the water upon opening the cover.

Had problems with this and the supplier has not reached out to me yet. Quit working after 3 weeks

Works, but not as much ozone produced as previous unit. At first, no smell of ozone. Slowly over days it got stronger as if there was a burn in period. Case is very large. Why? Could not mount in usual spot. Price is right but time will tell if it lasts.
