If you aren't into instant gratification and don't mind waiting, this stuff works! Had green growth on our vinyl siding and got tired of pressure washing it every year and tried this. I got good results. Might not take everything off like a pressure washer if it's in a sheltered area like under a overhang as it needs exposure to weather off the old residue, but it's way easier and much faster than pressure washing.

A friend of mine told me about this, as I have mold growing on the side of my house too far up for me to reach, so I purchased this and was able to do my entire thousand square-foot house with it, you literally just wet it and forget it, some stains, go away quickly others take a little time, but once it dries it adheres to mold, etc., and when it rains the dirt and mold fall off, make sure to keep animals off of any product that falls to the ground until the ground is completely dry , I paid $40 for this rather than paying $200 to have my house power washed. I think that's a great deal.

Slow acting but it works well on removing live moss and mildew from the asphalt shingles. Will need a second application, Residue does not wash away. Will need a power washing to remove.

Love this product! Although it is not inexpensive it is also not cheap. I live in a humid state with a home in the city on water with trees around and a home on the coast. Years of power washing... omg SO OVER IT! I heard of this product and asked a contractor, he said yes, he knows of it being good for roofs, so I purchased some last summer. I have used it on my concrete pool deck, driveway and sidewalks, my wooden deck, on my brick home, yes, worked on all of the surfaces. I have a screened in porch on the coast that has vinal windows that were so cloudy and had a green alga on the bottom panels that I was at a loss as to how to get them clean. It is not recommended using a window cleaner on them. I removed one window to do a test spot rubbing it on with a spray bottle containing diluted Wet and Forget in it, and immediately wiping it off. The vinal windows are so clean you can't even tell they are there. I rejoice my pressure washing days are behind me!!!! Of course, there are variables and as with any product like this read and follow the directions. I hope this review helps someone on the fence about trying Wet and Forget.

You must read the fine print and believe it. It says “Green stains clean up within 1-2 weeks, black stains or heavy, stubborn stains can take several months, long-established stains may take 6-12 months.” My house has vinyl siding which has been cleaned numerous times using a chlorine based vinyl siding cleaner. I applied this new product last month and I have seen virtually no improvement. Also on a totally windless day the spray might possibly reach 20 foot, and that is with the narrow spray nozzle. If there’s any wind, you’ll be lucky to get 15 feet. If you put on the wide area spray nozzle you’ll probably only get your face wet with even a small amount of wind. The product foams, and when you raise the sprayer, the product doesn’t dispense well, so when trying to hit higher levels, you’ll get mostly water, and that is with a full bottle of liquid. Today I applied 2/3 water +1/3 chlorine bleach, and sprayed the front of the house and it cleared up almost as I was spraying! The stains on my house were not what is described as long and established stains, but if they were I didn’t have a year to wait and see if this product worked. For the price, I’m very disappointed, not only in the liquid product but the sprayer.

If you have a high, steep roof to reach, this does it pretty well. Even better, I have limited water pressure since I'm on a well. It kills roof moss and algae as claimed.

Well... it's easy to use. It goes "a long way" - longer than I thought (as far as depleting the bottle goes). It also does have a nice, high reach (I have a 2 story Colonial and it reaches just to the edge of the roof - but not the actual roof). But I have seen absolutely no difference in the cleanliness of the siding. I washed, let it sit, and waited. Nothing. No improvement. Maybe I have to wash again? And again? I really soaked it well so I don't know if my expectations are too high? Front of my home faces north so it gets that lovely green on it. We've had our house powerwashed professionally a couple of times, I own a powerwasher that reaches through the first floor... but I really needed something to get beyond the first level without using a ladder (I'm not comfortable with a ladder). I had high expectations... maybe too high? I see zero difference. Womp Womp.

Have to say my thoughts were i would have to get the ladder out and stand close to the top to reach the upper portion of my roof but gee was i wrong..I could stand on the ground and shoot over the top of my roof if i wanted to but it had no trouble reaching areas i needed right from the ground..My house is a Cap Cod but i imagine even a two story home you would have no trouble..It was during late summer that i used Wet & forget and here it is in January and you wouldn't know the green moss was even there..Just like advertised all you do is just wet and forget..The first few weeks the Green moss turned Brown so i knew it had killed the moss and then as weeks passed it disappeared..wind and rain took care of the rest..Not sure how it would work on a thick growth of moss to be honest but mine was like little clumps here and there and a slight coating of green areas where it would get probably out of hand should i have let it go..I saved the sprayer container should i need it again then i will buy a refill which shaves a few dollars of the price..I am happy with this product and how it worked and it saved me a bunch of head aches later i am sure..Didn't need to scrap anything and possibly damage any shingles so that is why i like this product even more..My shingles returned to their natural color as well as that was one of my worries but no you can't even tell anything was sprayed here..good job Wet & Forget..i appreciate you
