I needed an inexpensive phone for my son to use as his first phone, this was a good fit, good price and size, compatible with our phone service which is Tmobile, easy to use, he has had this phone for awhile and there haven't been any issues with it, good strong phone.

It's a phone and works which is more than you can say about most inexpensive phones. Why pay 500 plus dollars plus 50 dollars a month to talk on the phone? If you drop these expensive things you are sorry. It's unlocked and works on Twillo. There's no charging cable or tool to get the SIM card out. It was achore to get the card out. Data transfer was hard. The new trend in cell phones is to grub out the most money they can. The thing is like most phones. Way to big to fit in your pocket, thus a nuisance. I bought another Samsing for myself and it was the same deal but at least it works. This one is for my wife. I had a Moto G cell that lasted ten years tied to Republic service. It fit easily in my pocket. Excellent clarity and text messaging. I bought a holster for my new Samsung and it looks ridiculous. Correctly sized pocket phones are labeled for kids or the elderly! That's simply crap! Most don't even work. Cell phones are considered profit centers for their makers and phone services. I want SERVICE that works not a "phone plan"! I want a pocket phone for under 200 bucks. It's too much to ask from these phone con artists. I don't even carry a phone now. I leave it in the car for emergencies. To summarize. This phone works on Twillo. It will probably last a few years, if you buy a protective case. It does everthing that a 500 plus dollar phone does. It's ok. Don't be a sucker and pay any more than you just have to do so. The government should step in and regulate this business. They won't. The USA needs reliable communication. Doubtful that low cost, quality phones or phone service will happen.

*12/28/2024 Update - **Removing Screen Potector Makes Previous Problems Go Away. Changed to 5-star** I have a tech savvy son-in-law who told me that the problems I was having with the screen could be related to the screen protector causing problems. I didn't like the idea of not having a screen protector, so I didn't act on in right away. But when the problems became bad enough that I was seriously considering getting a new phone, I decided to see what would happen if I removed the protector. Amazing! All the screen related problems cleared up! I have been protectorless for about a month now, and only once have I been forced to restart my phone due to a performance-related issue. Added bonus - the battery charge seems to last longer as well, probably because my phone was doing so many things on its own while in my pocket before. Original Review, around March 30, 2024 - I bought this phone because of all the good reviews and that it was affordable. I had had bad experiences with Samsung phones in the past, but I thought maybe they had improved. I was disappointed. Within a couple of days, when I was trying to type out texts, I found that even if I very carefully pushed on a letter that I wanted, another letter, or number, or word would show up in the text box. I would have to re-start the phone to get it to work again. And that was not all. Other times the screen would start jittering badly, or quickly shifting back and forth between two apps when I wasn't even touching it. This behavior has persisted. Due to this problem, I have to re-start the phone on the average every two days, but there have been a few times whey I've had to do it three or four times in one day. Also, I'm not sure why the default setting for the screen is "gestures". This was very frustrating because I could only remember a few basic gestures, so I could never do things like bring up the screen with all of the open apps, as well as having other things happen that I didn't want to happen when I tried certain swipe gestures. I finally got sick of this problem, and looked it up on the internet and found where there was a way to get three buttons at the bottom of the screen - one for "back a screen", one for the "home" screen" and one to open the window allowing you to scroll through (and close) open apps individually - or close them all with one button. The battery saving feature takes a while to get it right. This feature keeps you from over-charging it, and stops the charging when the battery gets to 85% full. For the first few weeks, this resulted in me sometimes running out of power before my day was through. This feature has some king of AI support, I think, and it has gotten better over time. It still says it only gets 85% full, but it usually lasts a whole day unless I am using it very heavily. Otherwise, the phone seems to work well, but the screen problem is bad enough that I can only give this a two star rating.

I recently watched the new movie, "BlackBerry" about the rise and fall of the BlackBerry. Spoiler Alert!! // In the movie, towards the end, they had to quickly manufacture a new model that would compete with the iPhone, which did not have a keyboard. Because they were so hasty in building the model, nearly 100% of the models were returned due to manufacture error. You can watch it here on Amazon Prime. Our Samsung Galaxy A32 5Gs were getting very slow and laggy. Granted they were only 2 years old! We decided to replace them with this phone. Out of the box, this new phone was even more laggy than the phones we were replacing. The most shocking moment was when I tried to load a simple website on Chrome and the graphics on the webpage froze and repeated themselves multiple times on the page. I pulled up my old laggy phone next to it and even that phone had seamless scrolling compared to the brand new phone that lagged. Really really shocking! I don't want to go through another experience of a lagging phone, and so we returned both phones, but wow! I guess technology quality is really going downhill with these lower level unlocked budget phones. Granted, I read all the gleaming reviews. I trusted this would be a good phone. More than $400 later (for two phones), and I'm doubting whether I should keep buying from Samsung Galaxy?! Even my MAC laptop, which is MORE THAN 10 years old ... does not lag like that new phone!!! 🤦🤦🤦

This is a very nice phone. Samsung did a really good job on this one. The build quality is solid. The plastic case is a matte iridescent deep blackish blue and does a good job at not showing fingerprints. The AMOLED screen has good colors and perfect deep blacks. The high capacity battery (5,000mAh) lasts 7-10 days with light usage before needing to recharge. The software is typical Samsung high-quality and the Samsung-built email app is still the best amongst Android phones. The fingerprint reader on the side unlocks the phone instantaneously. The charging port is USB-C. Speed-wise, the phone is plenty fast and doesn't lag. It has 5G cell phone connectivity but you can turn it off and use 4G to save on battery life. Networking also supports 2G (i.e. GSM) that can be turned on or off. Built-in storage is a whopping 128GB. Expansion-wise, the SIM tray accepts 2 SIM cards (i.e. this is indeed a dual-SIM phone), or 1 SIM card + 1 Micro-SD card. There is a headphone jack at the bottom, next to the charging port. The phone is quite big, i.e. the screen is huge, and it's rather heavy but so are most phones nowadays. It barely fits in my pants pockets. This is marketed as an entry-level phone, but honestly, it has such much memory, long battery life, fingerprint unlock, 3 good cameras, dual-SIM, Micro-SD expansion, headphone jack, USB C, great software support, future-proof updates, and is quite fast, so you may wonder why you'd ever need to buy anything more expensive. Overall, great modern phone at a reasonable price ($200) that should work well for most people and last a long time.

Phone works as expected. I have done some research regarding the best value android phones around the 200 usd range. The A14 regularly comes up as the winner for this category and that was the phone I was about to buy, but then I immediately found this A15 right before buying. It's virtually the same price as the A14 5G and I made sure to compare the two online, both are similar in features, though the A15 is better. The performance is also slightly similar, sometimes the A15 is ahead and the A14 is ahead maybe once or twice in tests. Overall the A15 is a great phone and comes with way more storage than the A14. I highly recommend the A15

Yes it works, but I have complaints! The touch-screen is the biggest problem, it is unresponsive and inexact. VERY INEXACT. The battery life is pretty good, but not as good as my Moto-G. And it gets really bad call reception in my area if it's not set to wi-fi calling. I do live in a very remote location, but still, what the heck? My old phone worked! My husband's phone works! It's a phone, shouldn't its primary function be making and receiving calls? (Oh, I just betrayed my age, didn't I?) That's all my complaints. Those caveats aside, it has good smartphone functionality and it's sturdy. It is also extremely affordable. I'm afraid I had high expectations. Because they are the premier Android brand, I expected a low-level Samsung to be at least as good as a mid-level Motorola. NO. That is NOT the case. I will be going back to a Moto-G when this phone reaches the end of its usefulness. And I will try to take better care of the next one!
