Solid audio: solid fit: long play time: many charges in the base: optional app features
I gave these a 5-star rating. If you are not accustomed to this style of earpiece, there are some options that may help your comfort levels. The fit is everything, but these can be extremely comfortable if done right. And otherwise, the tech is excellent. The system connects silly easy, and the app allows for some interesting features. The audio is exceptional, not as loud but this is expected in the open ear. The TOZO app makes the audio easy to handle with 32 Equalizer presets, and a manual setting, if you're feeling adventurous. I like this app idea to tweak the audio, nice going guys. Opens up functions of the product that we didn't have before. Perhaps if I could disable the touch controls on the earpiece through the app? Such as when I am wearing a hoodie or something. So, it doesn't hit the buttons for me when I turn my head? Those functions can be annoying when your sweaty hoodie changes songs. Perhaps you can find some time to make such a feature? I have become a fan of these guys over the years. I have several of their buds over many years. I have gotten every bit of my money out of them. One set was not great, they sent a new set that I still have these 3 years later. Some last 2 years, others many more than that. I started buying backups thinking, well... I'll have another set when these finally quit. I now use 3 of my older sets in rotation, and this OpenEgo, they sent me for being so sweet. They asked me to review it. I use earbuds all day, probably more than most people, and will switch on and off when a set finally runs down. I have gone over 4 hours with this new OpenEgo now, they aren't quitting, but I am, for dinner or something. I have used them for phone calls without incident, the audio was good on both ends. I was not used to the open ear fit, but I learned a trick -just take off yer glasses first... then the Oes fit better, put the glasses over them on your ear. It's the twisting motion that sets them in there, you'll get the hang of it. They don't move around much when I am working in the yard or on the farm. Never fallen off. And I now appreciate not using regular in-the-ear buds all the time. I am a big person, and they are comfortable, even after hours of use, often only needing a slight adjustment now and then. Easy to forget, and I love that they don't mute your hearing like in ear buds do. But there is a time for that and a time to go open ear. I can also wear these OpenEgos under hearing protection for those noisy tractor days, but the in ear buds win that challenge easily. In summary- These sound great, fit great, and last longer than I can, most often. The 5 stars is for the product and those who make it.

Very Impressed!
I am not a fan of in ear, ear buds anymore. I also can't really wear over hear headphones in my line of work. About 2 years ago I purchased some bone conduction headphones and I love them.. mainly for audio books / pod casts. Music, not so much. I found a pair of over ear, open ear phones a few months back and I was impressed with them but within a week, the right side just stopped charging so I stopped using them. I came across these about 1 week ago. I have never been more impressed! I charged them once on Sunday and started using them first thing Monday morning. The sound quality for everything is amazing. Music.. I listen to everything but this week was a metal / hip hop week for me. There is actually bass pumping out of these things. It won't make your head explode or anything but its really nice for something this small. The app lets you really dial in the EQ to your liking or you can choose from a library of user created ones. Now for the battery.. WOW! I have these on my ears for my entire shift, about 9-10hrs a day and never once did they cause any discomfort. As a matter of fact, at the end of the day when I take them off, an hour later I go to take them off again cause I forgot that I already took them off because they're so light weight. So yeah, I take them off and put them in the case (which is also pretty nice) and the next morning I put them back on. It appears that each charge in the case uses a little over %10 battery. In other words.. I haven't charged the case once since last Sunday and today is Friday. As for phone calls which I also receive a ton a day, people are telling me they are impressed with how I sound now compared to my last over ear earphones. If I am in my office I can have the volume down super low and can hear whatever I am listening to along with the people around me with no issues. If I am out on the shop floor I can crank these up enough to really get the party going (in my head) and still conversate when needed with no issues. I am really sorry for this long review, I normally would not make one so long but I am really, really impressed with these. If you are thinking about getting them.. stop thinking and just do it! I promise you will not regret it! 2025 Edit - So its been over a year. These have been my everyday go to for work and they have never let me down. This week, halfway through my day, they unpaired from each other and no matter what I try, I can't get them paired back up :( For $30 though, what a steal! I was about to buy another pair but I stepped it up and bought the flash sale ones for $40! If anyone knows any tricks to get the old ones working again, please let me know

My new favorite earbuds
These are my new favorite earbuds. I can no longer wear the earbuds that go in my ears as they get very irritated. I was using Soundpeats for a long time but the pair I was using died. I decided to try these out as a replacement because they were on sale. The sounds quality is great. Music sounds great. My friends say the voice quality is great while we're doing video calls. I find the voice quality on my end just as great. They connect easily to Bluetooth & connect right back without fail to the last Bluetooth device I connected them to. (Only problem is that they do that & sometimes I forget if I use them with my phone to disconnect before going on my laptop.) Best of all is they last about 8 hours or more. My old earbuds never lasted anywhere near that long. These are ultra comfortable so much so that i forget that I have them on. I've left them on for like an hour after getting off a zoom meeting because I forgot they were there. They stay in place too, no matter how much I move around. The case is great too. It's sturdy & stays shut. It supplies about 3 full charges to the earbuds & charges via a USB-C cable which I just plug into my laptop. It shows the percentage charged of the case but not the earbuds. It does indicate when the earbuds are charging & when they're full. I think it takes about an hour or so to charge the earbuds. (Honestly I haven't times it because it's not often I use the full charge of them.) I bought another flavor of the Tozo open ear earbuds but I like these much much better even though the case is a bit larger. These have better sound quality and are more comfortable to wear. If you want to try it some affordable, high quality open ear earbuds then give these a try. I don't think you'll regret it.

TOZO open ear headphones
Sound quality is very good when listening to music, videos, etc. Deep bass, crisp highs, I almost forgot they’re not actually in my ear, just sitting next to them. They feel like a quality product, nice materials fit and finish as every other TOZO product I’ve had. I got black ones, they have a nice contrast of gloss black and matte soft touch finishes. The case is nice looking, matte black with chrome TOZO lettering on the lid, with a nice opening and closing feel. The case is a bit larger than I’m used to having had several other TOZO earbuds previously(almost double what I’m used to) but not too large overall, about 3x3in square and roughly 1.5in tall. My previous TOZO earbuds had type c charging like this one, but also had wireless charging which these do not have. I like percentage battery life display on the front of the case compared to only dots or light flashes like some other models and brands. I also like that it shows you on the case like some of the other TOZO buds the state of charge of each earbud/earphone as well as the case percentage - those are in “battery lines” tho, but at least you can also see those in your phone anyway so they’re not necessary to have % displayed. If there’s not much ambient noise I can see them getting a bit annoying for others around you because they can kinda hear it too - like a VERY quiet Bluetooth speaker. Tried using the TOZO app as mentioned in the instructions to adjust the equalizer and sound settings, but I could not notice any difference in sound. No bass changed, no treble changed, it all sounded the same to me. Used some of the presets and also manually adjusted the EQ, but nothing I could notice changed. So far the calls I’ve tried to do with just the headphones are terrible. The sound I hear is very quiet - barely audible. Not sure on their end because I kept ggettong hung up on because I couldn’t hear them and they got tired of saying “yes I hear you”, so I had to switch to phone or loudspeaker. Their fit leaves something to be desired for me, I wear glasses and have longer hair - just to my shoulders so I can’t put it all in a pony tail properly. They keep getting tangled in my hair when trying to put them on and with the glasses they keep either fitting loose if the glasses are on the inside, or make my head hurt after a while because the glasses are outside of them and my head keeps getting squished. I also tried them without my glasses for a bit just to see how they fit and feel. They fit better around my ears, but again with longer hair they keep kinda being in the way. I guess that’s just the nature of AROUND the ear headphones vs OVER the ear headphones or earbuds IN the ear. I tuck my hair behind my ears so they keep getting tangled on the hair and, like with the glasses, it’s hard to put the hair behind my ear and if I put my hair back and then the headphones then they don’t quite fit right because the hair is there. It takes forever to put them on because I have to take off hat, glasses and move my hair around bunch of times and adjust the headphones like 3 times before they’re ok. Also anytime I have to readjust my hair or glasses I keep knocking them off my ears, partly because I’m still getting used to the earphones being there, and partly because they’re on loosely around the ears so they get really annoying quickly if I’m being active. I bet with short hair, or if your hair is long enough to fully keep in a pony tail, braids etc they would stay better. I understand they have to make a generic fit product, it can’t just be tailored specifically to only my ears, or they’d never sell any, and custom fit would be too complicated, expensive and time consuming. Overall they feel very light, and by themselves they feel somewhat comfortable but for me they feel very unstable like they’re going to just fall out any second. Not too tight around the ears so they don’t hurt my ears or my head, but still feel loose. I tried to use them with the silicone “braces” they provided(supposed to be for more active use, to help keep them in place more securely), but they feel even less secure in my ears. Because of the long hair and glasses they just don’t sit where they need to be, so they don’t “hook” properly in my ears and fall out every time I turn my head quickly and it’s not very pleasant or comfortable for me. I’ve noticed when I put them in the case they sometimes still just keep playing and sound like the world’s weakest Bluetooth speaker - which they kinda are by design…if you think about it. So I’ve had to keep checking they’re actually charging in the case, instead of in my pocket wasting battery.

My absolute favorite so far!
I was unsure if they would stay on because they feel like they’re just sitting on your ear. The sensation was unnerving for about an hour. Now I forget that I have them on. No more itchy ears. No ear fatigue. No more asking people to repeat themselves because my ears are plugged with speakers and I can’t hear. I wear Bluetooth earbuds/headphones all day, every day and with these I can hear my music, podcasts, phone calls etc. without blocking my ability to hear. The comfort is amazing once you stop feeling like it has to be jammed in your ear hole to be secure. The touch functions are perfect. Battery life exact time is unknown but it’s really good. I have them on from 7am to 4 or 5pm and I’ve never had a low battery warning. I usually put them in the case for 40 min to an hour after 4pm, then put them back on until after 10:00 pm. I call my wife when I walk out of work every day and with all 8 (various brands) of my other earbuds the wind noise drives her crazy. I couldn’t even crack my car window when I drive because the sound was always horrible and ruins my discussions. With these Tozo Open Air, the wind blowing across the microphones is not heard by her. I don’t understand how the wind isn’t a factor anymore but I’m beyond happy. The first day I used these I walked out of work to really strong wind and I immediately regretted calling before I got in my car, until I realized she couldn’t hear the wind. She said that she thought I was still in my office because my voice was perfectly clear. To me this is a huge win. I only talk on the phone through Bluetooth earbuds and these are the absolute best so far. Here is the worst thing I can say about these open air ear buds: I was listening to a movie in one earbud while driving and I wanted more volume but it was maxed out. The dialog was unusually quiet and my hearing is not the best, plus I had a lot of road noise. I pulled over and I was able to use the app to make eq adjustments and get more volume. That seems more like the movie’s problem. My music, YouTube videos, podcasts and streaming apps all sound great. My phone calls are better than ever. I will definitely recommend these to friends and family. My only concern is a good one to have. We can’t have earbuds on the production floor and I’m afraid to get in trouble because I keep forgetting that I have these on. I literally don’t feel them on my ears. An added bonus is that they don’t interfere with the frames of my glasses when I decide to wear them. Tozo has created some great products. I have 5 different models and I’ve purchased another 6 pairs for my wife and daughters over the past 4 years. Based on all these positive experiences I wanted my first open air devices to come from them and they’ve continued to keep me as a happy customer. I’m big into brand loyalty and Tozo is the only company I know that will offer me new products for free and all they ask in return is that I take the time to write an honest review. I’ll be back for more. I think it’s time to try one of their smart watches. I hope you get these and experience what makes Tozo one of my favorite brands on Amazon and the one brand I’ve returned to more than any other.

The headphones also feature voice assistant support, allowing users to access their favorite virtual assistants with ease. #### Performance In terms of overall performance, the TOZO OpenEgo headphones deliver a highly satisfying experience. The sound quality is excellent, the comfort and fit are top-notch, and the battery life is impressive. The open-ear design offers a unique listening experience that is both immersive and safe, particularly for outdoor activities. The headphones also perform well during phone calls, with clear audio and effective noise reduction. The built-in microphones pick up the user's voice accurately, ensuring that calls are crisp and clear even in noisy environments. #### Conclusion The TOZO OpenEgo True Wireless Open Ear Headphones are a standout choice for anyone seeking a high-quality, versatile, and comfortable pair of wireless headphones. Their open-ear design provides a unique and enjoyable listening experience, while their robust feature set ensures they can meet the needs of a wide range of users. Whether you're an active individual looking for a safe way to enjoy music on the go or someone who values comfort and sound quality for daily use, the TOZO OpenEgo headphones are an excellent investment.

The controls aren't so great.
I've never owned open ear buds before. There are so many to choose from. I read the reviews. Some are good, and some are bad. Some are expensive and some are cheap. I chose TOZO as they get great reviews for a low price. I'm used to earbuds with ear tips. But the downside, is it bothers my ears after more than an hour. And if you irritate the ear canals, it becomes inflamed and itchy. Playing music at higher volumes, can damage your hearing. When I walk around in public, I didn't notice vehicles behind me until they honked or the drivers made gestures which I knew, it was my fault for not paying attention. So I bought these. My first open ear buds. I was amazed with the sound they put out. Listening to podcasts, talk and music was great. However, the downside is I had to raise them to high volumes. With in-ear buds, the volume levels were low because the ear tips were inside the ear canals. With these, the ear buds sit outside your ears. Open earbuds have some noise isolation. You can hear people talking, dogs barking and vehicles driving by. Although, if you raise the volume, it will drown them out. Wearing them is good. I have some ear irritation. I can wear them for long periods, but there is fatigue. The one downside with ear hooks, is they can bother you if you're not used to it. These are a little hard. It feels a little weight on your ears. Some people will feel the top of their ears a little pressure around your ears. When you take them off, there is an after effect of wearing them, and it'll go away after a while. The great thing with ear hook earbuds, is you know the earbuds are on you, even when you do exercise, jogging, bicycling or running, it won't come off. Making phone calls is also excellent. People hear me just fine, even in light to modest, windy conditions. The same with noise. Light to modest noise is fine, but anything beyond that, people will hear it. I can drive with the windows down, and people hear me well. The controls can take some time to get used to. You have full controls, however they can be difficult to use. At first, I gave them a five star but lately, it's gotten bad. When I press them on my phone, they don't pause, skip tracks or take phone calls. It does work on the PC. So I don't know what the issue is. I hope Tozo will fix it with an update. In the end, I love these. Better than having in-ear buds. TOZO is a great company that puts out great products for a low price.

Decent headphones ruined by a dumpster UX.
I really (really) wanted to like these headphones, but after many months of use, two stars is about all I could give them. First off, let’s get the good out of the way. For comfort, this gets high marks. I hate sticking things in my ears—I honestly don’t understand why that style of headphones is so popular. So, the limited selection of options out there floated these to the top. They are (generally) comfortable. And do stay on my ears pretty well. The additional silicone attachment makes them even more stable, especially while working out—albeit at some cost to comfort. I can wear them for hours and barely notice they’re there. For sound quality, again these get decent marks. They’re far from “studio quality” headphones, but neither are they trying to be. They’re plenty adequate for a wide variety of music, and fairly adequate for podcasts. That is where the niceties stop. For long term, living with these things, day-in, day-out, they get a D- at best for overall user experience. 1. the volume is anemic at best. I get it, I don’t want to blast my ears either. But in a noisy environment, having a phone call you can hear is pretty much impossible. And forget about hearing your music in any reasonable way. 2. The microphone on this is sketchy. Sometimes it works great. People on the other end (when asked) say it sounds… fine. Other times the microphone is grainy and distant like I’m talking underwater from inside a tin can. Not great. 3. Bluetooth connectivity on these is a dumpster fire lit by a tire fire. If all you ever do is connect these to ONE device, period—great. They’ll work. But if you ever (gasp) dare to use these with more than one device, then tough. Once they bind to a device they WILL NOT AND CANNOT disassociate from it on their own. Period. While beyond moronic, there is ZERO way to attach them to a new device, without turning off whatever other device they were last connected to. So if you, let’s say, do something wild and crazy, like listen to them on your iPad, and then later have the audacity to want to use them on your phone, the ONLY way is to go to whatever spot you last left your iPad, and turn OFF its Bluetooth, before these will even attempt to connect to your phone. And god-help you if you have 3 devices, like a desktop, and you forget which one you last used. Because now you’re on a snipe-hunt trying to figure out which mole to whack in order for these POSes to connect. And to be clear, there is ZERO way to do this with the desired device and headphones in-hand. ZERO. If it can sense the previous device existing anywhere on planet earth, you gotta hunt it down, FIRST. That’s an F- as far as I’m concerned for basic UX, and makes these a complete PITA to use. 4. The “touch” controls can be best described as Janky AF. While they “do” work, they’re… janky. They don’t work consistently. They miss the tap, OFTEN. Or trigger the wrong logic—skip track instead of volume. Or hangup. And IMO, one looks like a full-tilt-weirdo constantly smacking their head like they’re having a mental crisis, every time you want to advance a track or change the volume, especially when it misses (or messes) the tap and you have to start over. A simple, physical, click-tap works 1000 times better and is a very clear indication when you’ve done it. 5. The charging case WILL eventually lose its friggin mind and just ignore the fact the headphones are in there. That makes the headphones wake up and reconnect with the device, while still IN the case. I have had three of these (don’t ask why) and they all do it, eventually. So, just a matter of time. 6. The charge case cannot show you its current charge level, unless you open it—which causes the headphones to connect—and close it again. Is this being nit-picky? Yes. But I have a lot of nits to pick, and I’ll list them here so you don’t have to experience this joy, first hand. So, in summary: These are a decent sounding, very comfortable set of headphones, designed by a sadist, who has never actually used a pair of headphones in the real world.

Absolute Empfehlung
