Replacement for Air 13.6" M2 2022 A2681 EMC 4074 13.6 inches 2560x1664 Full LCD Screen Display Complete Assembly (Midnight)

Perfect display at a price conducive to DIY replacement. Quality so far is great (has only been one week). Instructions were very clear. Only slight hiccup was that the included tools were missing a Torx T1 bit, which so happened to only be needed for be of the last steps. No biggie. Ordered a set from Amazon with overnight delivery. Outside of that, zero issues and the lid does have the Apple logo so finished product looks 100% OEM. Camera works as well. You must be mechanically inclined and comfortable around very small and fragile components to complete this (or any Apple) repair. Helpful hint - lay down a towel on the table you’re working on so that you can layout the screws and components you’re removing in the exact spatial order that they need to go back to. Also, the towel will save the day when (not if) one of the tiny screws goes flying. The towel will capture it vs it bouncing off the table to be forever lost on the floor or carpet.

If you're looking for an imperfect $200 solution to a $700 problem, this is the solution for you. If you are not an overly picky person you will probably not be able to tell this from the original. That said, I bought an M3 MacBook Air between breaking my M2 and buying this replacement screen, so I have a side-by-side comparison. I noticed the following differences: - The aluminum finish texture is different than the factory finish. On this it is like the dots are larger, and it feels a bit cheaper to the look and touch. - The colors are slightly off on the display. You can choose another color profile as needed, but the same profiles on the original and replacement look different. - The webcam has a pink/purple tinge when viewed on the new screen. - The rubber around the outside is stiffer. - The screen cannot lean back as far, but a significant margin. - There is backlight bleed around the outside rubber strip around one corner. - The backlight is visible through the camera and light sensor holes when opening and closing the lid or viewing the laptop from a high angle. - The display panel is slightly warped or bowed in all directions (vertically and horizontally). This causes the lid to bow out slightly in the middle when closed. This also affects the display's adherence to the body. It will pop open when held at an angle or moved around. Things that are the same: - Resolution: the replacement does not appear any fuzzier than the original when viewed very close up and actually appears a bit crisper in some cases. Overall, this is good enough for me. I plan to return my M3 and use my M2 with this screen until the M4 MBA drops.

I rarely buy aftermarket parts on Amazon because of poor quality, but these are consistently good. I have bought a couple dozen and have not had any issues. Once you are done, you cannot tell it isn't an original display. This is also the only brand I've found that comes with the dormancy sensor, which makes the install much easier. If you aren't familiar with that sensor it is a tiny sensor with a very thin cable, and it is difficult to get off the older screen without tearing, so not having to deal with that is great. Just be careful to use the correct bits when taking screws out of the Mac, sometimes it is hard to tell and you will strip the screws. That has nothing to do with their part just a heads up.

Apple and other repair places quoted me $900 for a screen replacement on my M2 MacBook Air. I figured I had nothing to lose, so I bought this screen. It was tedious and took about an hour to complete. The instructions were great, and it comes with all the necessary tools. I recommend getting a pair of small tweezers for some of the steps. I actually can't believe how well the screen works. It may not be Apple quality, but for a fraction of the price, it's certainly worth it.

This is NOT for the faint hearted. If you are going to pursue your own repair, I would recommend the following: - Watch a video and read the enclosed instructions first to familiarize yourself. - Prepare a work area that can be left in place in the event you run into any issues (stripped screw, etc). I used a white sheet on top of a card table. - Have Dixie cups or some other method of storing each of the screws from each step, these are VERY small and easy to misplace. - When they caution you that the screws are prone to stripping, PAY ATTENTION. - If it does strip, just swallow your pride and go straight to the GrabitMicro for any shot at removing the screw. - There are a few extra components that I wasn’t aware of and the reassembly instructions aren’t near as clear as the disassembly instructions. Thankfully there’s a couple extra screws that you’ll come up with during the reassembly that can be used if (when) you strip one. All in all this is a fairly complex repair but can be completed by anyone with a reasonable amount of patience and technical competence.

Saved my wife’s MacBook Air (M2, 2022). My 14 year old son has broken more technology in my household since he was born than I ever thought possible. Last fall, my wife’s laptop was his latest victim. The Seven Puppy replacement screen worked perfectly. I had all the tools needed, but they included everything you need as well. The key is to take your time and make sure you keep all the screws organized. If I can do it, just about anyone can. Will update if the screen dies prematurely, but so far it’s perfect.

We ordered two different ones because we thought the first may have been mislabeled. We ordered "Midnight" which is the color of the laptop we have, and this did not match the description. Both times we ordered it; the color has been wrong. This does not match the color it claims to be.

Very good quality, clear instruction. It takes delicate work but if done with caution the result is amazing (for relatively low price)

Really good, camera, brightness and everything works. Colour good with symbol. Just remember to plug the screen plug in!

Not all the screwdrivers required were within the package. T2 screwdriver is needed and it wasn't included.
