8 Port 10Gbps SFP+ Switch, Support 1G/2.5G/10G SFP Module, 160Gbps Bandwidth, Fanless Unmanaged Plug and Play Ethernet Switch

Works great. Get 600mbps read from Synology NAS 10G Ethernet SMP+ to PC connected via 10G fiber. Very happy. Doesn't impact my 2.5G Ethernet + SMP switch which is connected via 10G SMP+ fiber to Mokerlink 10G switch.

Zero noise and stays fairly cool. Must have had a redesign since some of the comments about thermals. Easily can handle fully saturating 10Gbps. Will update review when fully populated.

Runs hot. Ports intermittently drop connection. Throughput is painfully slow and read/writes frequently fail after only about 6 months of use.

This is not a plug and play device. There is no where to plug an Ethernet cable in directly. You need some type of adapter.

It's an incredibly frustrating experience when hardware fails just after the warranty period ends. The MokerLink 8 Port 10Gbps SFP+ Switch was a performer while it lasted, earning it a middle-of-the-road rating. For the first 13 months, this switch was great. It offered an affordable entry into 10GbE networking with a good number of SFP+ ports, making it perfect for connecting several high-speed devices in a small office or home lab setup. It was simple to set up, plug-and-play, and the performance was exactly as advertised. The metal chassis felt sturdy and reliable. However, the three-star rating comes purely from its durability—or lack thereof. Almost exactly 13 months after purchase, just outside of the typical manufacturer’s warranty period, the unit stopped working entirely. The power lights come on, but there's no data transmission and all port indicators are dead. A network switch is a foundational piece of infrastructure; it needs to be reliable for years, not just one. It’s an average product: great specs for the price, but the premature failure makes it hard to trust or recommend for critical use. Buyer beware—you might need a replacement sooner than you think.

It strips VLANs for whatever reason. Being more expensive than managed switches being in the exact same OEM housing makes this a poor deal.

The unit I received is in a nice metal box, fanless. My first test was to connect two computers via DAC and to the primary router via fiber. Nothing seemed to work. Later testing showed that the MTU seemed wonky. I think I had to lower the MTU to 1500 to make it work. The major issue is that it does not seem to process VLAN frames. This could be related to the limits on the MTU. Regardless, there are other devices in the same price range that are likely to perform better.

No issues with reliability or setup. But seems unreasonably hot, even when there is no heavy traffic.

日本からのレビューがなく不安はありましたが、ひとまず問題なく動作しました。 使い始めたばかりなので耐久性は不明です。 今のところ減点要素はありません。 SFP+のAOC(10Gtek製1m長)でスイッチを介して接続した物理マシン2台間でiperf3で確認した限りでは十分な速度が出て、再送信も正常な範囲です。 MTUを9000に上げてのジャンボフレームやタグVLANを使用した通信も問題なくできています。 私はSFP+ポートを搭載したスイッチが目的でこちら購入してますが、RJ-45やLCのコネクタが必要な場合は当然のことながらそれらのコネクタに合致するトランシーバーが別途必要になります。 RJ-45だけでの接続が目的だったり、仮にトランシーバーとの相性問題が発生した際に自分で原因切り分けができない方には、本製品の様なSFP+のみのスイッチはおすすめできません。

私の勉強不足で、我が家の機器には適合しない物でしたので、使用しておらず、コメント出来ない状況です。

Insufficient Power and thermal dissipation. Fails to function consistently. Works OK with 1 RJ-45 !0G Transceiver (ipolex), 1 !G SR Fiber Transceiver and one AOC (active optical fiber cable) but will fail to work consistently adding more stuff. This should be only offered as a 4 port unit with same size and power. Definitely NOT AN 8 PORT UNIT! Too many cost cutting measures ruined the production of this unit. It should built-in power supply not low power, low voltage adapter. I would not recommend this unit as is. If you own one make sure you do not have more than 4 SFP modules plugged in or there will be problems. I think DAC (direct attach cable) might not work with this unit because most DAC cables from 10Gtek do not Auto Negotiate.
