This kind of toothpaste is my favorite flavor

I had to switch to a toothpaste with sls in it and this one is perfect. Really doesn't feel much different from another toothpaste!

Tom's Toothpaste is an excellent dental product, with some tubes available free of sodium laurel sulfate (SLS). Therefore, those tubes of paste don't cause mouth irritation or sloughing off of epithelial tissue, Many SLS-containing dental products do lead to that problem for some people. I had a minor but aggravating deterioration of mouth and lip tissues, and a light burning sensation. My dentist said it was most likely caused by the SLS in the toothpastes I'd been using. After a few days of brushing only with Tom"s, the problem got better, and in a week or so it was gone. (However, Tom's also does not contain flouride, which some people would want.)A caution though: In some recent shopping I found packages of Tom's Toothpaste that DID have sodium laurel sulfate, SLS, listed on the box ingredients (at Walmart & Marc's stores in Ohio). Use care, read labels, when buying.My only negative regarding my SLS-free Tom's toothpaste was that it rather quickly becomes watery in my mouth. It lacks "body", something to give it firmness, resiliency. Otherwise it's a fine toothpaste.

Great for sensitive gums

I have been having trouble with my lips off and on for over a year. Doctors were mystified about couldn't quite figure it out. They hurt, were blood red, swollen and rarely got relief. Then all of a sudden, they would be fine for a few months. One doctor even mentioned a biopsy, so it was pretty serious. She took me off toothpaste entirely and I was using baking soda :( finally my periodontist hit on something...he thought it was possibly caused by a virus AND stop the baking soda, let me recommend this toothpaste called Tom's of Maine. So he put me on a dose of anti viral meds and I did some research on the toothpaste. While researching, I found a reddit type site where a woman posted my EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS...she said not just Tom's BUT the SLS Free version. Said it cleared her symptoms up in no time! Worth a shot. Well worked as advertised and I finally have some relief from the lip issues. I still have to monitor what I eat at times AND I HAVE to use a high spf sunscreen on my lips everyday I go out. But this brand of toothpaste has helped me beyond measure! Plus it IS a great toothpaste and whitener, so I am 1000% pleased!

All the tooth paste brands I try always either taste bad or just isn't right but this one is very good! Tom's is a great brand and I do think it is whitening my teeth! This product is great and I totally recommend! Five stars!
