Quality mount at a far better price than mounts labeled Overland
Sturdy and works great on my wedge camper build. No issues with rattling or worries about it falling off.

LOST MY PROPANE BOTTLE
I buy a lot of stuff on amazon and don't always regret it. However this one has a different story. This is part design and part user issue. It's just the fact that you really have to think it through in order for this to be safe, is concerning. The tensioner strap for the propane tank is not as intuitive or as tight on the bottle as you'd think. When tightening the bottle down, it really needs to be tight. Somewhere down a back road, we lost propane tank. Maybe we hit a pothole or something pretty hard, but nevertheless, when we pulled over to get some photos, the tank was gone. We are just thankful. It was off road and not a well traveled area. If this would have been the freeway, it would have been a different story. There are also rubber bushings that keep the metal from rubbing against the tank. These are easily displaced, and we'll stick to the tank or just fall off. Once these are gone, there is metal on metal. For the safety of everyone I wouldn't continue to use it. Overall, if you're not going to drive your vehicle and you just want to mount a tank to the back of it, this is your item. If you're wanting to drive it around or go off road, we suggest looking for another product.

Used for a more custom setup, perfect for the job!
Ordered two of these and modified a bit to mount them back to back for two 10 lb tanks on my Scamp 13 tongue. Due to a custom setup of a "backpack" 12v DC mini split air conditioner mounted on the tongue, there wasn't enough room to mount the original 20lb tank, so came up with this as an alternative! Very easy to use and can adjust the tension on the tank for a firm grip when strapped in place. These definitely are slightly weighty, the trade off of being solidly constructed.

This rack needs a safety chain!
I bought this rack about 18 months ago and mounted it on a rack that is mounted to the back door of my Sprinter van. It has worked well (until my most recent trip) and I like it and find it very useful. If I had further need for another rack I would buy this item again. However, it should be most used with caution! Somehow, on my most recent trip, I'm not exactly sure where, I lost a full bottle of propane. I did not see any Hiroshima like explosions in my rear-view mirror but it gives me nightmares to think how badly this could have hurt the occupants of another vehicle if it came bouncing down the Interstate Hghway towards their windshield! I am not sure how it happened. The restraining band that is supposed to secure the bottle in place was still latched and pinned when I discovered that the bottle was missing. The bottle must have bounced up and out of the little slots on the bottom of the rack and then worked its way down and out of the restraining band. I have purchased a new propane bottle and I am going to continue to use this T-rack. But I am rigging a secondary safety chain that will hold the bottle dangling if it somehow escapes from the T-rack. In any case, consider yourself advised and cautioned. I strongly urge anyone using this rack to take further steps to secure the propane bottle.

Great for overlanding.
Don’t pay for a high dollar overland propane carrier. This very reasonably priced mounting bracket gives you mounting options. It has slots in the back for ratchet strapping to your rear mounted spare, which is how we use it, along with several holes for mounting to other surfaces. The strap not only has a R-pin to keep the latch from opening, the latch itself has a positive catch and won’t open without releasing it. Very secure, and I’ve had no concerns about our tank coming adrift on rough trails. Looked at a lot of high priced propane carrier mounts before settling on this one and it has been above and beyond expectations.

Outstanding Customer Service for a Critical Safety Product
I purchased the Flame King T-Racks™ 10LB Propane Tank Mounting Bracket about a year ago and had been using it without any issues. It’s a solid, well-designed product that held my propane tank securely during all my trips—until recently. After a recent off-roading trip, I noticed that part of the locking mechanism had broken. Since this product holds a propane tank, safety is a top priority for me. I reached out to the company to ask if I could purchase a replacement part. They replied that the part was not sold separately and that the product was already out of warranty, so they couldn’t offer a replacement under warranty. I was considering buying a whole new bracket when something unexpected happened—they sent me a brand new unit, free of charge. I was genuinely touched. They had absolutely no obligation to help me at that point, but clearly, they prioritized safety and customer satisfaction above all else. Taking a financial hit just to make sure their customer was safe speaks volumes about their values. I’m incredibly thankful for this level of care and service. I hope this company continues to grow and succeed. Thanks again—I’ll definitely continue to purchase and trust your products in the future!

Not for Off-Road Use
Not sturdy enough for off-road use. If you’re using this for camping in established campgrounds or use on Forest Service roads, then you should be fine. On mine, the latch mechanism snapped on a moderate 4/10 rated trail. Luckily mine was mounted on an inside bed rail. No way would I mount this to the outside of my rig or on a spare tire carrier.

Bien construit, bien fait.

BEWARE: Doesnt fit standard 10lbs tanks. I suppose it only fits their tank shape... Base is not wide enough and the metal belt is way too short.
