Can this be used under roof tiles instead of roofing felt?

Personally I would always use the correct material felt under roofing tiles. I'm sure you would get a lot of sweating going on with polythene, then rotting in the timbers. If this is a TEMPORARY waterproofing measure, then ok, but not as a proper re-roofing job.

Is the material non toxic and suitable for lining containers to grow vegetables in?

hi, is this item UV stable? I want to use it to cover and allotment and need to make sure it won't disintegrate

I have only used this since last October. It has been on the allotment for 7 months and apart from a few nibbles from mice, it is as good now as when I put it down. My best investment yet for the allotment. Hope this helps.Susan 12 jun. 2015

Does this product really puncture easily as reviews seem to indicate, for if it does I think this is not Visqueen which I have used before.

I have found to be very strong, I've used mine for mass covering at my allotment and it has had many different things dropped on it, such as large logs of wood, stones etc and has torn only when thee impact was excessive. The product is in no way "flimsy", it surprised me at its thickness when I opened it out and I would be happy to use it in a diy scenario.
