Very loud manderin speaking lady comes on when you turn the machine on or off- so if using as a nightlight for a little one, you physically have to leave the room, go to another and close the both doors behind you so as not to wake your kid up turning it off. When it starts to run out of battery (of which doesn't last a great deal anyway) it will start speaking very loudly in manderin to tell you that it is running out of battery and repeat this every 5 seconds, very loudly (and there's no volume control for the lady either).I only know what it's saying as originally it spoke english, then changed to Manderin of it's own accord and there are no clear features to show how to change it back.Initially I thought this was quite good, but over time my patience with it has diminished. Then to top it off, the usb port came loose and this meant that I was unable to charge it. I contacted the seller and despite it being a manufacturing issue, they refused to refund or replace the item and offered me 30% of the value back. Needless to say AcornSolutions are now blacklisted for me

The media could not be loaded. It states 5w on the box but it surely sounds like a 10! The volume does go loud and can be heard clearly from 20m away (deafening if full at close range). However, when played within reasonable volume range, the sound clarity is as crystal! I personally do perceive the bass to be lower in comparison to the mids and the voice-over for the start-up, function switch and power off a little too loud. Contrarily, the light functions work a charm after you figure them out (manual in chinese). Simple tap turns light on to brightness 1, second tap to 2, third to 3 and fourth, off. Keeping your finger pressed changes the white light dimmer function to the colour and tapping cycles through colours (being able to dim the colours would have made it perfect but not in functions unfortunately). Battery life is varied: 4-8hrs playtime depending on device (bluetooth, SD/USB) and without light; 4-5 light on its own and 3-4 light and music using Bluetooth. It comes with an aux wire and you have to attain your own mirco USB cable and plug to charge it. Overall, good value for money!

Great Addition to my bedroom as a bright multi-colored lamp.However, DO NOT use the AUX cable while charging via USB! It generates a horrible distorted sound.Bluetooth speaker function works well and very loud at max volume. I just use it as lamp and for that it is GREAT.Tried to tune the radio but every station is distorted so couldnt enjoy the music etc (maybe my location?)

When the speaker arrived the charger port was broke

Honestly such a wicked item! Really works great with my room set up. The range of colours is fantastic. Only issue I'm having is the voice, sometimes it randomly changes from English to another language I don't understand and then changes back. Would be nice just to have the choice to turn the voice off all together. (Bluetooth on, Bluetooth off, etc.) honestly not the biggest deal at all though and the product itself is sick and way with the money.

I wanted to like it. The best part is the light. Forget the speaker. Would be better if you could disable. Speakers are dime-a-dozen anyhow. I left it on a dim light and fell asleep to have it boom out “battery low” at 3am and wake me up. Thanks. The speech is lousy and there’s no way to lower the volume which is loud enough to wake the neighbors.Shame but these design flaws make it intolerable.

Why did they over complcate it.. I spend 30 seconds trying to turn the light off every time.. It shuffles through stupid colors.. I just wanted tap on/off... Could have been perfect but now don't even like using it as a bed lamp.. The speakers i find good for podcast or connecting to alexa but i hate the random lights thing and how frustrating it is to turn light off
