Great books
Both great books and both of these are very well put together versions. I would recommend both of these.

These should be on your read list
Very interesting. I am currently reading The Art Of War and Tom Butler-Bowdon's introduction really makes the rest of the book stand out and make even more sense due to some of the real-life examples he gives us to look at.

High quality
The covers are of very high quality, I have carried them around in my bag and the books are showing no signs of wear or tear so far. The content is presented in a clear, easy to read and follow manner. Very highly recommend them for anyone who is interested in what shaped modern day Asian behavior.

Good Cultural Background Reading
I bought these books following a recommendation regarding 'The Art Of War' as potentially useful in H&S risk management. Also, I have a lot of dealings with Japanese business people and this is a nation that I understand has used translations of these teachings for many years. The format of both books allows the reader to dip into very much bite-sized sections, so fits in well with commutes and breaks. Interesting reads both and although I didn't find them life-changing, they encourage the reader to be more mindful and provide some interesting information around historical cultural influences. At the price they are worth a read.

The books are ok on the inside but they are REALLY poorly made.
I ordered these books knowing they were publicly available for free, just so I could get a book in my hands that looked good on my shelf. The problem is they are black text on black binding, which isn't too bad but my book "Tao TE Ching" was flaking already AND was mislabeled as "The Prince" by Nicolo Machiavelli. I didn't know Lao Tzu had a pen name like that, he sure was way ahead of his time I guess. I heard others say that this series was poor quality but this is unacceptable for this kind of book.
