Awesome quality as testified by the thousands of purchases and *****.
Very secure. We tried a kit that included many different sizes plus shrink wrap tape, but...with that set -- the 6 gauge connector fit 6 gauge too loose and pulled right off and the next smaller connector that some people suggested trying - were hard to stuff the 6 gauge into and pulled off without much effort. These fit the wire well so when crimped they would not pull apart. A combination of 1). these fit the wire well before crimping and 2). these seemed to be thicker so they were better able to hold the wire so you could not pull it apart. FYI -- tested both types with a hydraulic crimper and this brand did not pull apart like the others did.

A lug crimping tool is needed to install these lugs

It will definitely do
Seems to be a quality part. I’m no electrical expert, so I don’t know what makes one better than the next, but it will definitely do the job.

No clearance
I had WindyNation WNI 4/0 cables which required attaching 4/0 sized SELTERM lugs to the ends in order to bolt the cables to various devices such as connecting batteries. I quickly discovered that the smaller wirelets that made up the cable would expand and fray outward once the outer insulation was removed. The lugs provided NO CLEARANCE to make it easier to insert the cable into the lugs before crimping the lugs onto the copper wire. Without fail, strands of the smaller wirelets wouldn't fit into the lug, so these had to be cut off. If I also had to cut the cable, they would fray and expand even more, so then I had to remove up to 20% of the outer wire strands to get the cable into the lugs. See photo.Even with 20% of the smaller outer wire strands removed from the cable, once crimped, the lugs held on firmly and could not be moved. After applying heat shrink tubing, the connection looked fine. When I attempted to connect these 4/0 SELTERM lugs (which had 3/8" holes) to 2 different DC switches that claimed to be able to handle a 4/0 cable, the lug was too wide to fit into the switch housing.

6 Gauge Ring Terminals
This is one of the products that lives up to the claim. Copper terminal rings that are solder plated for corrosion resistance. They are close to 2” in length, 1/2” in width and over 1/8” in thickness. They crimp well with a hydraulic crimper. The length of cable inserted into these lugs are also approximately 1”. With only one addition that would be nice which is crimp location rings to enable one to keep the crimps consistent from lug to lug.
