Exactly as advertised. Speakers sound awesome & are very clear. A big improvement from the originals I replaced.

One thing for sure… they are loud. For the price, it’s worth the money but… According to the specs, it states the freq response is between 80hz and 12.5KHz. The recommended HL crossover is 100hz. IMHO… I’ll be surprised if it can hit 150hz. To be fair, this was installed onto a Street Glide. So essentially, it would be considered a ported enclosure. Not sure if the 80hz rating was tested and measured with a sealed enclosure. As this was just installed today… the drivers didn’t sound… high quality. Don’t get me wrong but it doesn’t sound hollow or cheap as well. But SQ is lacking. But it’s def loud. So… quite decent for the money paid. But don’t expect too much from the SQ aspect.

I put them on my 06 harley-davidson and now cant wait to get a set DS18 6x9 for my saddlebags. Already getting complimented about the volume and how clear they sound. just put the DS18 6x9s in my saddlebag lids and changed my amp to the rockville atom 880 and it sounds amazing. And loud and clear

I paired a set of these with a Rockville ATV420 amp on my 04 Road King in front lower fairing pods. These are the only speakers I have. Since they're rated for 250W each at 4 Ohms, I initially bridged my amp to provide exactly 250W @ 4 Ohms. The speakers did great but either the amp was overheating or it was drawing too much power and entering a low voltage protection mode. Regardless, I don't have the capacity to run the speakers to their fullest capacity without upgrading my stock charging system and/or venting my amp which I currently have in the bottom of my 4" stretched bags. So I just rewired the amp to 90W @ 2 Ohms (unbridged). It's ok for the speakers to have more resistance than the amp, just not the other way around. So knowing that the speakers can handle everything I throw at it, I have my LPF set to filter out lower frequencies (bass) which the speakers arent rated for and the gain is turned almost all the way up. WOW!!! Now the amp and charging system are happy (no cutting out/off) and my volume limit is only my ears. After riding for about 40 minutes at 60% volume, my ears are ringing. I haven't hit 100% volume yet but at around 80-85%, I can barely hear the engine. It's so loud and clear! I hate that it took me most of the summer to get my wiring right, but I'm happy it's finally there. Now that I have another pair of free channels on my amp and I know what these speakers can do, I'm heavily debating adding a set to my bag lids.
