Illustrated Tales of King Arthur

Good book. Great color on illustrations. Good book to grow with

I bought this for my granddaughter to read about more knights' tales and this book did not disappoint. All the intrigue and chivalry is there, and the illustrations are magnificent.

This book is of excellent quality from what I can tell. Crisp, clear and large printing, great for young readers. Illustrations are very nice, though could include more of them. Even has a ribbon place marker attached to the spine. Very happy with this purchase.

This book is small but thick. It has beautiful illustrations and a lovely attached ribbon bookmark. We read this as a family and enjoyed discussing the classic themes. Afterwards, we all started noticing Arthurian themes everywhere! So glad that my kids (5 to 10) could understand the themes and follow the stories. This was our first of this series of books and we have since purchased many others. Check the information at the back of the book before starting the story for a great background.

A fantastic read for our 4 year old and myself apparently. We feel so entertained throughout the book. I was sad that one chapter was read without me and I have to read it again to our son. Easy to read, gripping, and entertaining.

This book is full of lovely illustrations and beautifully written stories. My 4 children range from age 3 to 8, and they all can't wait for me to read to them from this wonderful book each night. A must-buy if you have young children that love to read about King Arthur.

I bought this as a gift for my 4 year old and it made a wonderful gift. Although fewer than expected the illustrations are lovely and I am confident this is a book he can grow with.

This book seems great for a kid of 10-12 years old, but was not right for us. My 4 year old is very interested in knights and I have been looking for a version of King Arthur’s tales that will work for him. But the first story I turned to had some sexy suggestions (lady trying to seduce a knight by sneaking into his bedroom) and a beheading, so if I read it to him, I would be doing a lot of editing on the fly! If you’re looking for a good authentic version of the stories for a pre-teen, this seems great. But I will have to keep looking for something else for my little wanna-be knight.

The book has some nice illustrations at the beginning of each chapter. We acquired it as an introduction to the legends of King Arthur for our son. For a six-year old, the story is sometimes still a bit complicated (and not enough pictures in between), so we switched to the Usborne Young Reading version for now. But I assume this version will be perfect when we try it again in two years.

Easy to read. A good introduction for a child and adult. I liked the drawings.

My 6 year old son gets lost in these stories and has now started reading them to himself (after several readings by me so he knows the stories and names). He really loves the tales and I've enjoyed reading them too. Good for older children to immediately read to themselves too if they are more fluent readers. Lovely pictures too. Another great book from usborne!
