I see the price has gone up since I got this, and it was overpriced then at £64. Ideally you would have two pairs of these interlinking rails to make a useful length. There were no instructions in the box and I would have found it useful as I didn't know that the first time you use it you have to cut the edge of it off - so had to work that out for myself and make a brave guess.

The guide rails do not live up to the Bosch brand reputation. Unlike the "professional" guide rails, this DIY version slips on the wood unless it is tightly clamped, leading to a cut off the straight line required. The kit consists of 2 x 400mm rails that connect together. This is too short for many jobs. The length of 400mm includes the connectors so the usable length is much less. The rubber strip on the cutting edge is sacrificial, and 1or 2 mm were removed by the saw the first time I used it. The guide rails are plastic and unlikely to have a long service life. The guide rail works well for short cuts IF but only if it is tightly clamped. However, it is never worth the selling price for two pieces of plastic and a couple of cheap clamps. In general I am very happy with my Bosch power tools for my DiY jobs, but this guide rail set is a real disappointment. I feel cheated by my brand loyalty.

Very good for the job

just received this and i have to say very very disappointed. two little bits connect together and its small not big enough. if you need to cut mdf sheets or plywood this is no good. over priced think ill send this back tomorrow.

Bought these and used them occasionally for 2-3 months. They get destroyed easily especially when I do 45 degree cuts. These are also short. I would not buy them again and would pay slightly more for metal ones. Overall very poor purchase.

En remplacement de vieux rails fatigués, le format est identique aux anciens s'emboitent correctement. Tout pareil ;)
