This is a game-changer! Bye-bye old round dehydrator!
When I moved into my home 13 years ago, I had no idea that the mango tree in the corner of my yard would produce more than 900 mangoes every year! So what do I do in July? I dehydrate mangoes. I’ve been using one of those round stackable plastic shelf dehydrators for years, but they don’t have a lot of capacity and there is no temperature adjustment. The food would stick to the trays. It was frustrating. But this year I did things differently with this Hoperan 12 shelf food dehydrator. And let me tell you, this has been a game changer. I absolutely love it! The key features that I love are the stainless steel shelves that are super easy to clean by just soaking them for a few minutes in your sink, the adjustable temperature and up to 24 hours on the timer, the dual fans in the back, so there is no need to rotate the shelves like I had to do with my old food dehydrator, the alert sound when the dehydration time is up, the light that you can turn on to take a peek at how your food is dehydrating without having to open the door, the super high capacity which allows me to dry way more mangoes in one batch than ever before, and believe it or not the latch on the side and sturdy construction that keeps the door closed and reduces the risk of the dehydrator tipping with all your food in it. Yes, I have had my cats tip over my old food dehydrator but this will not tip over! Dehydrating mangoes takes a long time and I like to dehydrate them to fruit leather consistency. I am already on my fourth batch of dehydrating, and this machine keeps going like a champ! Looks like I’ll be passing down my old food dehydrator to someone who needs it because this food dehydrator is definitely here to stay. Next up, I’ll be drying Cuban oregano! I’ll post that video at a later date. Five stars! Highly recommended.

Great value for the money
This dehydrator works very well, the temperature 🌡️ control is easy to use, and the fans are very quiet. The product is made out of stainless steel and seems very durable, easy to clean after using the dehydrator, low watts makes it cheaper to run. Arrived well packaged 📦 and was easy to set up. The controls were easy to use for setting up the correct temperature & running time. I dehydrated a bunch of apples as my first project, after 12 hours, they came out fantastic. I would recommend this product. 😊

Home minimalist.
This is the best dehydrator that I have ever bought. It makes beef jerky better than the stuff the retail stores sell. Fruit roll ups are delicious and the dried fruit are a hit with my grandkids. It is very efficient and the handy guide is a must. Nice recipes. Trust me, you won't regret buying this unit.

Small but stainless handy device to cope with apples and plums
This is my first dedicated dehydrator intended to dry the fruit from autumn's harvest. It is very basic and is in fact a stainless box with a stack of drying mesh trays and two fans with tubular heaters around. The fans have just regular induction motors, not specially designed for high temperature. It has a thermistor to control the temperature - not very accurate, but works reasonably. The trays are of the size of Letter paper sheet (I expected more, but part of the interior space is occupied by fans and heaters. My version has 12 trays spaced approximately 1 inch apart. I was able to select centigrade display - the temperature settings are in increments of 5C, and it explains the "strange" equivalent steps in Fahrenheit. Someone reported that "buttons are hard to press" and at first it confused me as it was really difficult to "press". But then I discovered that these are capacitive sensing buttons, and just require a touch to operate - no need to push or press. Of course, some dry small fingers may have too little capacitance to sense. But if the fingers are larger and wet, it works perfectly. Based on experience, the usual dry time for apple slices at 65C is 12hours. The fans are quiet, but I placed it in garage anyway. On some minor improvements desired: - the front glass collects condensate at the start of drying cycle - I keep the door partially open firs 40 mins- but there is no stopper to keep it in desired position. - The dehydrator remembers temperature, but does not remember time settings. One has to set time on every start - a bit inconvenient. - capacity and size is smaller than it looked in the picture - fits only 10-15 apples sliced. But still it is very good performance. In summary, it is handy appliance that is not too expensive to keep on the shelve or in garage.

Amazing product
If I could give this more than a five I would. Followed the instructions and did some cherries, and blueberries (blueberries weren’t on the chart) overnight. The end result was fantastic. I filled 5 racks, and all dried evenly. Some of the cherry stuck but soaking in warm soapy water for five minutes, and it was a super easy cleanup. Some of the blueberries fell through when they dried, but the bottom tray easily caught them. I’ve included a photo of the dried blueberries and cherries.

Disappointed
I do a lot of food preservation. This dehydrator seemed to be a great purchase. While it does work well, the aggravating thing with it is that it seems to be a cheaper knock off or an expensive dehydrator. Con's: -The buttons are hard to use. You either have to press really hard to get them to work or super lightly. -The temperature display is not accurate nor does it go in "normal" counting. Instead of the increments being 140, 145, 150, etc. mine goes 138, 143, 147, 149, etc. -The trays are very small. They're 11x7. I cannot find any mats small enough to fit them. Cutting to size is an option but not for things that you need a ridge. So I can only make one fruit leather tray at a time which is frustrating. -The manual is also full of grammar errors - it is obvious the translator service they used was terrible. Parts of the user manual don't make sense. -Condensation builds up in the door. I have my dehydrator on a shelf so it is above my head. When I opened it all the water from the door and the lip on the door dropped all over me. Pros: -It does work. It dehydrated food well. -Has a light which is helpful if you're checking the food at night. -Is relatively quiet. -looks professional, clean, and sleek.

Great dehydrator, easy cleaning, quite
Very good dehydrator and it’s easy to use. With silicone mats I added on the shelves it’s simply rinsing and ready to use again. These shelves are easy to clean anyway. So much better than the round plastic models I’ve had before. Great settings and quiet. Glad I bought this one.
