D2 steel at this price — been a fan of this steel for over a decade
I've been using D2 steel knives for over ten years. For the price-to-performance ratio, nothing else comes close. It holds an edge longer than most stainless options and takes a good edge when you do sharpen it. The only trade-off is that D2 can rust if you leave it wet, so keep it dry and give it a light oil once in a while. This FLISSA 9-inch came sharp out of the box. The Micarta handle is comfortable in hand — not too slick, good grip even when your hands aren't clean. The shape fills the palm well and there are no hot spots during extended use. The leather sheath is a nice inclusion at this price point. It holds the knife securely and the snap retention works without being difficult to draw from. For the money this is an absurd amount of knife. The fit and finish is clean, blade centering is good, and the full tang construction feels solid. I've handled knives at two and three times this price that didn't feel as good in the hand. If you're looking for a fixed blade for camp, bushcraft, or general outdoor use and you don't want to spend a fortune, this is it. Just remember D2 is a tool steel, not stainless — take care of it and it'll take care of you.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unbeatable value and performance — I own ALL three versions!
I’ve owned all three versions of this knife, and honestly it’s one of the best value camp knives you can buy — especially for around $20. From the moment you open the package, you can tell this isn’t just another cheap blade. This thing is super sharp right from the Flissa factory, and the Scandi grind makes it a joy to use for everyday camp tasks. What stands out: • Blade grind: Scandi grind — fantastic for carving, feathering sticks, and controlled cuts • Sharp out of the box: Ready for use without spending time on a sharpener • Size: Great size for a camp utility knife — not too big, not too small • Value: For around $20, you simply can’t beat this knife • Feel: Solid in hand, comfortable ergonomics for extended use This knife is one of my favorites in my kit because it does real work without feeling flimsy. Whether you’re splitting tinder, prepping food, carving tools, or just doing general campsite chores, the Scandi grind excels and gives you precise control. What really surprises people is how capable this blade is compared to its price. Yes, it’s inexpensive — but it doesn’t feel cheap. In fact, I trust it alongside some knives that cost way more. If you’re looking for a dependable camp knife with excellent edge geometry and great ergonomics, this is one of the best buys in the budget EDC/camping space. Highly recommended — an easy 5 stars.

MY FIRST BUSHCRAFTER YEAH!!!!!!!!
I AGREE WITH THE GENERAL CONSENSUS ABOUT THE FLISSA FIXED BLADE. IT IS AN OVERALL WELL ROUNDED KNIFE AND SHOULD HOLD ALL OF ITS VALUE OVER IT'S LIFETIME. I AGREE WITH MOST THAT THE SHEATH IS SUB-PAR MOST LIKELY PHO-LEATHER. ANOTHER PERSON SUGGESTED TREATING IT WITH LEATHER CONDITIONER INSIDE AND OUT. THAT WORKED WELL. THE SPECS ON THE SHEATH ARE CORRECT AND THE KNIFE FITS GOOD. THE FINE MICARTA HANDLE IS PLEASENT WITH BARE HANDS. NOT LIKE HOLDING A COARSE ROPE.....IT HAS A SUPRISING POLISHED FINISH. THE D2 IS SLIGHTLY OVER HYPED AT THE MOMENT. YOU STILL NEED A LIGHT OILING AFTER WET CONDITIONS, BUT MUCH MUCH LESS THEN A 1095 RAW BLADE. I RECOMMEND THIS BUSHCRAFTER TO MY FELLOW AMAZONIANS. A NOTE TO FLISSA: PLEASE OFFER THESE ACCESSORIES POLYETHELENE LINED CORDURA (OR HEAVY NYLON) SHEATH. A KYDEX SHEATH WOULD BE GREAT TOO..... UPDATE: 2025 2ND FLISSA KNIFE PURCHASE WITH WOOD HANDLE. SOME PROBLEMS ARE STARTING TO ARISE. METAL TANG IS STICKING OUT PROUD AND SHARP IN SOME AREAS. THE HANDLE CAME LOOSE AND THE HARDWARE WAS OUT OF SPEC. WHEN I WENT TO TIGHTEN THE HANDLE NEITHER A METRIC OR STANDARD HEX KEY WOULD FIT PROPERLY. CHECK THESE THINGS AND RETURN AND REPLACE IF PROBLEMS OCCUR. GOOD LUCK!

Great outdoors kinfe
These are an amazing deal and perfect gift for yourself or your outdoorsy people! They feel great in the hand and top edge is great on a fire steel. The sheath is good quality but wish it had a loop for a fire steel. Upgrades are available as another reviewer posted.

Nice Knife
Decent bushcraft knife. Not that I needed a new knife, but I do have other "Flissa" knives which are good quality, good price. This good too. Heavy, nice leather sheath, sturdy handle and it has a nice "top" [spine] for scratching a ferro rod. I did add a paracord tassel on the end.

Awesome and incredible value!
SO awesome. Heavy and feels great in the hand, blade is thick and seems well designed. Haven't cut anything but paper and shaved some arm hair, but I can say it was razor sharp out of the box. Excellent bargain! I'm not a steel nerd, but if this is D2 as advertised and performs as such, will be great to add to the collection. In fact I got several!

Great quality knife. Hard to find better value anywhere. Very sharp and even grind. Micarta handle is well finished and the material looks decent. Some complain of the variation in colour- some parts are lighter or darker- but I like that look. The sheath is ok. Not quite the quality of the knife but for $20 overall, it’s actually good. Very Impressive!

Really good knife, I was not expecting this level of feel and sharpness for the price, super sharp out of the box, feels solid, best bang for buck if your after a fixed blade

Not bad with a full tang and a nice handle but mine had some corrosion in the blade so they lose one star.

Exceeded my expectations. I own some Mora, ESEE and cold steel knives that I have used outdoors for the last 15 years or so. This knife is in the same realm for a lot less money. You can't go wrong.
