great for lime plaster
I used several different NHL3.5 hydraulic lime before and this is excellent provided one find good plaster sand! Somewhat expensive but free shipping so it is quite reasonable if one does not need large qualities. I wish that Otterbein premixed lime plaster would be also available in a similar fashion.

Good product, but please be sure you know what ...
Good product, but please be sure you know what you are getting and how to use it. We made a very nice historical mortar by mixing it 1:3 ratio with local masonry sand.

Thank you for providing this product
Great product. After having gone to nearly every hardware store in my area and taking home two different products that were not the correct product to repoint an 1800s lime mortar structure, I finally found this and it worked excellent. I was very shocked at how close the color is. I mixed this 2 parts hydraulic lime to 5 parts sand. The water portion can vary depending on the type of sand. At one point with dry sand I used 1.5 parts water and another time only 1 part water. Anyone else have brick sizes of 8.5 inches and 8.25 inches? Not sure when this was built. I'd show pictures but I don't want you laughing at my newbie technique hahaha
