HeadBlade LE Moto Men's Head Shaving Razor - Midnight

I've had a bit of a journey with shaving my head. Something I'm learning is that no one solution is for everyone. At the recommendation of a co-worker, I tried a highly rated, very popular rotary head shaver. I used it for almost 3 months. He can shave his head in 1.5 minutes and it's super smooth. It would take me 8-10 minutes and still left stubble, and I'd have to use a stick razor to get it smooth. So in total, 13-14 minutes. What I realized is that I have very course hair at skin level. The little mini rotary blades just cannot get under the edge on the skin level. I decided I had to try the HeadBlade Moto since a stick razor can get it smooth, but it's a bit of work. Wow! The Headblade Moto blew me away. It took me less than 3 minutes and it's crazy smooth. Better than the stick razor, way better than the rotary shaver. It's smaller than I thought it would be, and easy to hold and maneuver. I found I have to turn it backward on my fingers to do different parts of my head. So far I have only used warm water to lubricate.

This thing shaves my noggin bald. Honestly, that’s why I bought it but I wasn’t prepared for the baby smooth shear “rubability” that was produced. Women come up to me in the produce section of the grocery and ask to rub my slick skull (but never in the dairy section - weird). Dogs ask to lick my bald noggin (probably because of the peanut butter I slather on, but that’s beside the point). No nicks, no cuts, no errors - it’s the “Hall of Fame” of skull shavers. Don’t Fear The Razor (or Reaper, for that matter) - buy this tool and start getting busy, if you know what I mean.

Works better and shaves faster than electric razors once you get the hang of it. The replacement blades are not consistent. Some will cut you badly if you are not careful.

Hands down the best manual head shaver on the market. Have had them since they first hit the market. The ATX was the original; was great but definitely got more cuts with it. The motion is a “push” forward instead of a “pull” backwards. The Moto is lower profile, and the curve angle is perfect to avoid nicks. Easier to control. Of course it’s personal preference; my brother still prefers the ATX. Personally I think the 4 blade is superior to the six blade. The six blade gets clogged faster and harder rinse in my opinion. Much smoother with the 4 blades. And yes, these blades are PREMIUM. They last a very long time and stay sharp IF you rinse well and often during the shave. I do with each pass or two. I even dip it in rubbing alcohol and rinse to get anything caked on off. A little tedious but my blades last soooo much longer and are sharp. The blades aren’t cheap, not too expensive either, but worth extending. Destroys a traditional hand cartridge blade. Some like using a straight blade, but that requires a lot of time and precision. This thing you can do daily or every couple days in the shower in a few minutes. Best every day shaver.

I CANNOT speak highly enough of this razor!! I like to keep the top of my head long and the sides down to the skin, and shaving can be iffy. It usually involves electric clippers and about 2 razors. This little monster, however, made shaving to the skin an absolute BREEZE!!! I used one head the entire time and it's still on their. Smaller than you'd think but very, very easy to use. Very recommended!

I dont mind this product. The blades are less than premium and I even purchased the upgraded blades. I wish the item was bigger in my hands for better control. For the cost I can't complain.

For such a low cost this is a tool all baldies should have! Super close shave and less time shaving than electric

The advantages of this razor are minimal and do not offset the problems or lack of quality in comparison to it's competitors. The blade quality itself might be better than a very generic store brand or cheap brand (i.e. "care one" or "bic"), but it's still far inferior to products put forth by high quality razor companies like Gillette. It shows in how much irritation my head experienced and how many times one can easily nick themselves. The shape and style of how you're supposed to handle this may be ergonomic ABOVE THE TOP OF THE EAR LINE on the sides and for the top, but as far as reaching anywhere the Ear would be in the path or anywhere you have difficult areas (i.e. bumps some what unique to your own head), it is NOT NATURAL at all. Every time I try and go around the sides of my ear I cut myself or come close to it. Only way to even try and avoid is to grip it from the sides (not ergonomically) in which case why aren't you using a normal razor with a longer handle for that area. Even then, without pressing down so hard you're guaranteed to cut yourself, the blade isn't great so it doesn't get you nearly as close as a Gillette product. I find myself feeling my head less than an hour later and thinking I wish I could shave again (with a better razor). I'm not a big fan of the "Skull Shaver" electric product, I just have one for days I need to be fast, and even that I find gives an equal or better quality shave than this thing, faster. In the rare swipes that you feel you got a good deal of hair, the blade also then gets guncked up quite easily and doesn't clean out quick. Based on the other reviews I read about fragility, I didn't dare bang it on my sink. (Which many other brands will easily tolerate banging it on the edge of the sink if you've gotten clogged before it's time for a new blade.) The only way I can see this thing providing a satisfied person (which I guess must be what the majority of their good reviews come from) is if you are one of those guys who shaves your head just every once a week or less, and has small ears and easy shape skull so that there's less obstacles. But that's not me, and I know I'm not alone based on the number of YouTube guys I've found out there who like it close and regularly. I get that there's the opposite end of the spectrum out there too as described above (I've seen videos by guys who preach it only shaving once every two weeks), but that's not me, and anyone like me should not waste their money / time. I'm just thoroughly un-impressed. It feels like the way the advertise using it is throwing a gimmick at you to sell it, but ignoring these major problems. I will happily be going back to my Gillette Fusion Pro-Glide when my head feels like it has recovered enough.

If you want a clean, hassle free shaver for your head, go for this. I was recommended this by another bald man I work with, I was very wary about using it, it just looks weird but took the dive and haven't looked back.
