Iris Ohyama Europe OCH-2004 Plastic A-4 Drawer Chest with 4-Drawer Organiser, Black

I do electronics and I have a lot of small tools, cables, wire and pieces of hardware that need storage. I bought one of these units to begin with to check it out and was pleased, so I bought two more and they neatened up my small workshop considerably. I have them arrayed in a row along the wall (see photo), but you can stack them one on top of the other and save some space that way. I wouldn't be too sure about stacking them more than two units high as I think they might be a little unsteady. The draws slide in and out nicely and they are long and deep, you can get a surprising amount of stuff in them (see 2nd photo). One minor thing: the draws don't come completely out of the unit, they lock in place when you pull them out fully. So if you have stuff stored at the back of the drawer you have to do a little rummaging to get to it. Other than that, the draws are fine. Presumably the draws are made this way to stop you from pulling them out completely and accidently upending the contents all over the floor. There's a handy little tray molded into the top of the unit which is useful for placing things on. I thought that was a nice, thoughtful feature. When I am working I tend to put things on top of them so that they are in easy reach. As for size, I measured them and they are 19 inches x 10 inches x 14 inches (height/width/length). Overall I am very pleased with them and will probably buy more in the future.

This product came fully assembled which I thought was unnecessarily for the packaging and size. Nevertheless saved me having to assemble it. It was the perfect size for my tiny ensuite bathroom, it was actually smaller than I expected but that was a good thing as I was worrying it wouldn’t fit. However, it was perfect to fit under my sink and I could have even fit another one on the other side which would be even better, but I’m not going to waste my money on two. So, having not wanted to buy two, I’ve piled quite a lot of stuff into it and it’s all bathroom stuff which is heavy and unfortunately already the bottom plastic draw has a crack on it on the front. I think that’s from when I moved it to clean under it and due to the weight of what I’ve put into it. The crack is the only reason I marked it down slightly for sturdiness. However, I don’t care that it’s cracked and it’s still fit for purpose, so all round I am very happy with it and it’s really improved the tidiness of my bathroom.

Good looking and working drawers but a lot smaller than expected, definitely good but I wouldn’t say £44 is a fair price I need to now buy more just for what I really wanted to fit because these are too small, not value for money to be honest, I’ve seen bigger for cheaper, the quality seems good but yes for £44 I would expect a bit bigger

Forever running out of storage space I tend to pack lots of stuff into plastic storage boxes. Of course this causes a problem when you need something as evidently the whole box has to be emptied out to get what you need. These drawers are the answer for me. Sturdy, not too big, not too small, I have managed to pack an amazing amount of toiletries and medical stuff into them with the added bonus of being able to find, and retrieve, what I need without unpacking the whole thing! I bought one set, packed that and immediately bought a second set. These fit under my bathroom washbasin where I previously had storage boxes piled up! Can't recommend these enough, AND delivery was excellent! Will probably order more to sort out my wardrobe 'design'!

Very pleased. I know the measurements are provided but it's still difficult to see if it will do the job. Purchased to increase storage in Motorhome wardrobe and it's brilliant. Surprisingly large amount of clothing capacity

There are no wheels. Amazon seem to have been told this many times, but the photo still shows some. However, they've changed the design and they now have holes for wheels....you just have to buy your own. They have a 6mm shaft so if you search for M6 or 6mm castors you can get a set for a few pounds. Arrives well packed and fully assembled. Be advised that of the three units I bought, two of them had cracked draws. The first thing you need to do is unpack them and check all the draws for cracks. They look nice and smart and are reasonably well constructed, but a little frail. Don't think that by paying more you are buying something more sturdy. I bought these because they are narrower than many others that Amazon sell. In my opinion, they are OK for home use, but they aren't strong enough for school or workplace. I am actually surprised that Amazon would sell a frail product at such a high price. They are very expensive for what they are, but, if like me, you need them to be a little narrower to fit a space, then there really aren’t many options. My guess is that Amazon get a lot of transit damage with these, which is why they can't reduce the price much. The draws have stops on them so they can’t be pulled out, but you can bypass that by gently compressing both the sides of a draw at the same time. The units can be disassembled, but at your peril. They have a habit of breaking if you try, like I said before, they are frail. Heating the press-fit catches with a hairdryer helps. If one breaks you might have to resort to a self tapping screw. Or two. Or three. Anyway, they are OK, but nothing to write home about. Not recommended unless you really need thinner units and don't mind over-paying for them.

I cannot begin to explain how much I liked this! First of all it came ready made so there was no faffing about trying to get it all to stick together. Secondly, the drawers do not slide all the way out as there are little catches at the back, meaning you don't lose everything everywhere every time somebody opens it a little too quickly. They can be removed completely if you want to simply by squeezing the backs of the drawers in towards the middle space a little, this disengages the catches. It's nice and easy to keep clean. The drawers are a nice size for what I wanted (we use it for recyclables in the kitchen) and it is steady and safe. Would I buy it again? Yes without hesitation.

Great item for storing my home office stationary and tech items. I needed it urgently so was delighted it arrived the next day. Unfortunately one of the drawers was cracked. Not sure how because it came in SO MUCH and extremely large packaging. However when I opened the bottom drawer it was cracked inside. That part couldnt have been reached to be damaged in transit, therefore must have been cracked by the manufacturer. I nearly didnt notice at first. Very annoying as I had to return and pay again to get a replacement. Had to wait in again for collection and delivery. Plus 6 days after collection im still waiting for Amazon to recieve the item so I can get my money back. Quite disgusting really for an item that was faulty.

Me ha encantado, lo compré para guardar mis cosas de manicura y me va perfecto. Se ve sólido a pesar de ser de plástico. Los cajones tienen tope y no se salen al abrirlos, lo que facilita mucho cuando lo estás usando. Lo volvería a comprar sin dudarlo.

Parecen de muy buena calidad pero el tiempo hablara de durabilidad , pero son muy practicas .

Perfetto e sembra resistente

Arrivato da pochi giorni, ne ho comprato immediatamente un altro. Nel mio caso, utilizzato per riporre i (tantissimi) lego di mio figlio. I cassetti sono capienti, siamo riusciti a riporre anche oggetti grandi (eventualmente "separati" in due parti, ma lasciandoli montati). Per il momento siamo estremamente soddisfatti. L'oggetto sembra durevole e robuto. Cosa importante: non ha un odore sgradevole, come spesso accade con altri tipi di plastica di altra provenienza. I cassetti hanno un fermo che ne impedisce l'uscita accidentale. Comunque, possono essere estratti in caso di necessità attraverso una piccola pressione sui lati. All'occorrenza, possono essere impilati l'uno sull'altro (prestando attenzione al peso di ciò che si inserisce in quello superiore, per evitare carico eccessivo su quello sottostante). Noi nella configurazione definitiva li abbiamo però tenuti separati, anche per rendere al bambino agevole l'accesso ai vari cassetti. Riaggiornerò la recensione in caso di modifiche
