Fantastic device for any gaming lover. All works perfectly, this was for my son who I think prefers PS remote layout over the other big one. Having it to play the Spider-Man games alone is pretty much worth it!

The internal storage, while slightly larger than the original, still feels insufficient given the size of modern games. I found myself frequently managing storage or investing in an external SSD, which adds to the overall cost. Additionally, while the Slim Edition is more affordable than the original, it’s still a significant investment, especially when factoring in the price of accessories and games.Another minor gripe is the lack of major innovation in the user interface. While the PS5’s UI is sleek and intuitive, it feels very similar to the PS4’s, and I was hoping for more customization options or new features to match the console’s cutting-edge hardware.Despite these small drawbacks, the PlayStation 5 Standard Slim Edition has been a joy to use. A birthday present for my son. He said the graphics are amazing & it has many more features than the PS4. He is really pleased with it. It was also a good price as on offer.

It’s a PS5 ”slim”. What more is there to say. However if you’re not familiar and wondering whether to buy this for someone, you should find out if their peers have this or one of the other consoles, and which they would prefer.

The PlayStation 5 Slim has been a fantastic addition to my gaming setup. Coming from the standard PS4, the difference in performance is noticeable right away. Games load incredibly fast, and the visuals are stunning. I’ve been playing games like Demon’s Souls and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and the level of detail and smooth frame rates are impressive. The compact design of the Slim version is a big plus for me, as it fits much better in my entertainment centre compared to the larger original model.The new Dual Sense controller deserves special mention. The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers genuinely add to the immersion in games, making even simple actions like firing a gun or walking through different terrains feel more realistic. Backwards compatibility is another huge benefit—I’ve been able to replay a lot of my old PS4 games without any issues.That being said, the storage space is still somewhat limited if you have a large digital library, so I had to consider upgrading the SSD. But overall, the PS5 Slim is a brilliant console, providing top-tier performance in a more compact form. Highly recommended for both new and returning PlayStation gamers.

It plays well , can’t complain

The media could not be loaded. Absolute joy. Fast, incredibly quiet, and beautifully designed. Games load instantly, and the visuals are stunningly smooth, bringing gaming immersion to a whole new level. If you're thinking about upgrading, do not hesitate; this console is phenomenal!

A present for my younger son. I suppose it's inevitable that eventually he'd have to upgrade from the PS4, and at least this time Sony have made the latest upgrade backward compatible so he can still play PS4 games with his mates.He tells me that what he particularly likes is the considerably shorter loading times, the graphics and the backward compatibility. He also notes that the wifi connection seems to be a lot better than on the PS4. His room is probably at the furthest point in the house from the router, and despite having extenders he was often unhappy with the internet connection on his PS4. He tells me that with the PS5 he's getting much faster downloads and his gaming is far more consistent. He was also pleased that I'd bought him the disc version since he's been able to load his PS4 games from their old Blu-rays.
