This is literally the exact same filter system as the Whirlpool reverse osmosis system. I know because I've had that system for almost 15 years. There is a little rubber washer that eventually fails and between the cost of a repair kit and a new set of filters it was cheaper to just purchase this kit. And when I say it's the same, I mean it. The only difference is the top cover piece. Even the plastic molding marks from manufacturing is the same. And that's good because any filter that fits those will fit this. That's the expensive part of this system, those filters, which need to be replaced annually in my house. The water that comes out of this system is great. We rarely buy bottled water anymore. This removes the metallic aftertaste and strange chemical flavors my tap water has. Installation isn't too bad either and it doesn't require much maintenance. Absolutely worth the money if you drink a lot of water.

Very good price. It works very well. Ok for new installs. Not good for replacing older systems. Fittings are different from the most popular models with 3 larger twist on filter housing. If you are replacing, be prepared to run to Home Depot. Previous holes does not magically disappear.

No more bottled water! This purchase was the best decision to insure clean drinking water! Better for the environment, too!

I bought this kit because it looked like a drop in replacement for an EcoWater unit. In all honesty after taking some measurements I'm pretty positive that the EcoPure filters would have fit my old EcoWater base, but since I bought the whole kit... may as well not take chances. Anyway, it fit right on my existing screws. The faucet is pretty loose and not built as well as the EcoWater unit and the EcoWater tank was larger (plus has a valve) so I retained both of those. Otherwise I have no regrets so far!

This seems to be a replacement for the Whirlpool brand I’ve used for so long. Same style unit and filters. HOWEVER, you had better keep your old Whirlpool faucet because the one that comes with this EcoPure unit is CHEAP. No battery LED to tell you that it’s time for filter replacement (which I can live without anyway) but just a flimsy cheaply made faucet that will fail in a short while. The whole unit is thin and flemsy compared to the Whirlpool unit. Seems to be filtering ok so far, which is what you want, but just a very cheaply made unit.

Had the same problem as the old one.(faucet wouldn't shut off.) Help line said that it was probably a bad manifold. We had been out of water for several days so I took it upon myself to troubleshoot. The manifold was fine and not the problem. There is a coil spring in the faucet with a neoprene cap. The coil spring is larger at the bottom than at the top and is supposed to go in wide part first. I turned it around, put it back together and now it works great.The manifold has a "filter stack" that sometimes goes bad but it was in fine shape hence the faucet!!

I have had the system for about 18 months now and the water is still terrific. My wife buys the bottled water, I tried it and I find this filter produces much better tasting water. I'm using 3 reverse osmosis filters. Before I bought this system I was paying a service company more than $200 per year to come out a screw in new filters. After the hurricane they ripped me off for a $300 filter to remove bacteria. They claimed the city water system was contaminated. From now on I'll just do it myself with the Ecopure system.

Do not purchase this product. Only 1 year old and the water filter bypass valve is broken. Cannot be replaced, must buy new unit, but not this unit, LOL. I will research product reviews better and purchase one that will last longer than 1 year.

Stop working after 3 months. I used it to replace an AEG that seemed to be the same, but this one really disappoints.

This 3 stage filter it cheap and not very efficient, no replacement filters to be found, kettles get calcium deposits after a while, water dose not taste like it's been filtered although the chlorine is mostly removed, Overall not worth the price paid even with discount, recommend buying a recognised brand and pay a bit more, now used for 6 months and thinking of buying a proper known brand.

Commandé et installé pour remplacer un osmoseur Culligan. Produit de très bonne qualité, de très bonnes finitions et installation très facile. Un petit bémol si il fallait en donner un serait la largeur de l'embase du robinet qui est un peu large à mon goût, rien de bien grave !! Sinon pour la qualité de l'eau c'est identique à mon ancien Culligan pour un budget dérisoire.
