Both lactation consultants and feeding specialists through NHS services told me a 24mm flange was the correct size (my 1st and 2nd were 7&5 yes ago). Ordered one of these only to find that I should be using a 17mm flange which explains many of the issues I had previously had. What a useful item. I wish these were around during my previous pumping journey.
