## Description

SXTsq 5 ac 16dBi 5GHz Dual Chain Integrated CPE/Backbone with AC support and Gigabit Ethernet. The SXTsq 5 ac is a compact and lightweight outdoor 5Ghz 802.11ac wireless device with an integrated antenna, perfect for point-to-point links or as a CPE unit. The device includes one 10/100/1000 Mbit Ethernet port to fully utilize speeds that 802.11ac protocol provides. The SXTsq 5 ac retains a 16 dBi antenna like the SXT 5 ac, our previous model, yet the antenna design has been improved and the physical size has been dramatically reduced - the SXTsq is two times thinner. Review: Held 900mbps across 500 feet, through trees, for years - I bought a pair of these to bridge internet from a neighbor's house to my new place while I waited on an ISP install. The install ended up taking over a month, and since I work in tech from home, that gap would have been a serious problem. This link saved me. The performance genuinely surprised me. The two houses are about 500 feet apart with a partially wooded area in between, and this pair held a steady 900mbps across that span. Weather never caused a hiccup. Once configured, it basically became a wireless Ethernet cable between the two buildings, the kind of thing you set up once and then forget exists. A fair warning on setup: this is MikroTik, and their software is always a little odd. Not hard exactly, just quirky in the way MikroTik gear always is. If you have touched RouterOS before you will be fine. If not, budget some patience for the initial config. After that it just runs. The hardware held up remarkably. Mounting hardware was adequate, the units sealed fine against weather, and here is the real test: I left them mounted outside for a couple of years, unused, and when I pulled them down later they still worked perfectly. PoE worked without fuss throughout. Cheap, capable, and durable. If you need a point-to-point link, I highly recommend these. Just remember you need two units to make a link.
Review: Bought a pair of these to beam my Starlink internet connection to my neighbor. - I bought a pair of these because they're cheaper than competing gear, that while easier to setup, costs twice as much. I'm beaming my Starlink connection to my neighbor's house about 250 feet away and these radios work well for it, using the 802.11 protocol. For some reason I had issues with the NV2 protocol, but 802.11 works fine. Signal is great on both ends, and hardly any ping drops. I do wish this was easier to setup, though it still wasn't very complicated using the Quickset tool that RouterOS has. After the setup, I am able manage these radios using my phone, and even update the firmware.
