This little wooden set is very nice quality and I love that it comes in a storage tube as well. My little ones love playing this in the mornings while I make their breakfast and they never get tired of it.

This set is really good! With this being a wooden toy about to be handled by little ones, I had to make sure to check for splinters before using. Glad to report that each piece is smooth, sturdy, and safe! That's enough reason to give this product 5 stars, because a lot of wooden toys for kids already have splinters on arrival and they're the thin plywood that can break.My only word of caution is about its giftability... The clear window on the lid was covered in what seemed like sawdust. BUT the toy pieces were not, so I think that must've happened because they were recently made and were bumping around during shipping, so any residual sawdust must have come off the discs and stuck to the window. The plastic window piece also came apart from the lid when opened. Also, the tube is glued to the base of the cylinder, and that glue looks messy. I'm not taking stars off for these details because I actually didn't even think about keeping the tube when I ordered the product, so it's irrelevant to my intention and purpose. Just sharing this info in case anyone wants to gift it (and maybe the manufacturers seeing this can find a way to make this product more presentable as a gift).

The game itself is a very nice quality. The wood is smooth and thick, making it durable and easy for small hands to hold. My toddler and I have had great fun playing this simple memory game, and it is great for his cognitive development, allowing him to work on color and dinosaur recognition, as well as his memory and turn taking. The packaging, however, is flawed. the plastic at the top easily pops out and is difficult for my toddler to put back on without assistance. The game itself, though, is great!

I’m a big believer in using board games to help kids (and adults) detangle themselves from digital dependence and this terrific Memory Game from Bee Smart lets you start that process early. I got the ‘Animals’ set which is perfect for my youngster. The game is very simple to grasp, but requires concentration and attention to master (both for kids and adults). The pieces are elegantly rendered to the point where even when the game is finished, the chips are played with in other ways generated by the child’s imagination. So fun to watch them mix, match, stack, carry, and trade the chips. This might be due in part to the fact the chips have a wonderful, substantial feel to them. They are very nicely constructed of solid wood in a ‘just right size, one that fits smaller hands perfectly. The ‘Pringles-like’ storage canister is likewise very well done and practical. This could easily become an heirloom game—one that is passed on to following generations. It is that well done!

Nice old fashioned no batteries needed game. The wooden rounds are nice and chunky, just right for little hands. The pictures on each one are easily recognizable and also has the animal name spelled out. These are nicely sanded with no splintery places. There are 8 different animals in bright colors ….just flip them over and then try to match them. Perfect for age 3 and up, no choking hazard, not complicated but still a challenge.I have to say that my kids (now grown) have really fond memories of a matching game of people that they continued to play through hi school with a large group of friends, changing all the rules and being super silly. I would love to start this matching game with my grandkids and then have them graduate to harder level games as they get older. And yes, I saved that game that my kids loved so much! That is what tempted me to get this Bee Smart Memory Game and start the next generation out with an equally fun game for the small kiddos.I would purchase this again and am glad to have it on the game shelf.

I ordered a set, the box came open and with one piece missing. I returned it and a month later was still charged.

Wooden circles are really made well and quite thick; high quality and will not get broken easily. After playing the matching game with our 5 year old he just started playing his own game with all the pieces! Creativity abounds!There are 8 different dinosaurs (16 pieces for matching). Each picture is well drawn with the name below it. Only four colors are used. It would be nice if there was a unique color for each dinosaur. That said, our 5 year old had no problem matching the right pieces. If there were 8 unique colors for younger, pre-school kids you could just play a color matching game.Still, it's a great matching game made of quality materials.

These wooden matching pieces are thick and sturdy. They are very cute. These would make a great gift for toddlers.
