Enjoyable and Beautifully Photographed Book on Bakelite Jewellery
A lovely book for all Bakelite lovers showing the collections of many serious collectors. Beautiful photography and interesting reading of how collectors started collecting this famous material. The only negative would be that I would have liked to see more examples of earrings and necklaces and some more rare pieces to demonstrate the beauty and versatility of Bakelite.

BAKELITE PORN...
BAKELITE PORN.. is a book so full of amazing pictures, you lie awake thumbing through page after page imagining what it would be like to own such a treasure trove. Hold on to your dreams. while Bakelite is becoming harder and harder to find in an affordable (especially for the carved pieces) there are still stories of great pieces turning up at Garage sales or flea markets. it pays to know what you are looking at, how to test it, and develop an "eye" so that when you find that amazing piece, you saw it first and best from a great book resource. I love my bakelite books and this one is a great book for identification as well as plastic porn.

Book is full of beautiful colorful photographs, several collections are pictured. I like it very much. Bought this book used, excellent condition, great value. Only flaw, I thought there would be more of a individual discription of the Bakelite items, maker, age and value.

Very Impressive Collection
My girlfriend collects bakelite and she was delighted to find pieces she'd never seen before featured. Wasn't wild about the limited scope of collectors. Seems to be mostly one collection by a couple. Not sure I didn't read it my girlfriend did.

Schöne Fotos, kaum Info
Es ist schade, dass man zu den vielen Stücken so gut wie nichts erfährt: Zeit oder Ort der Fabrikation, Preise, Sammlerwert usw. Im Buch zeigen Leute ihre Bakelit-Sammlungen vor, weitere Infos gibt es nicht. Absolut nicht hilfreich für eigene Einkäufe.
