Good printer
This is a good printer. The vat and plate is large. My LCD screen chipped which caused problems for the prints. I reached out to phrozen and within 2 days this was resolved and they sent me a new LCD. Read the warranty policy before making claims.

Not ready for the public
I bought this printer based on raving Youtube reviews. I have been printing for about 4 years now, and I was very excited to get my first large format printer. I unboxed it and set it up, calibrated the Z axis, and loaded the XP finder provided on the USB. At some point something went wrong and a hole was torn in the vat film which leaked on the screen protector. I purchased more vat film and a new screen protector. I cautiously calibrated the exposure setting for best print, and the XP finder worked well. I tried to print the first full print plate. The printer stopped printing at 2", but kept going like it "thought" it was printing and the plate moved up and down like normal. I contacted Phrozen support and after two weeks of back and forth emailing they finally realized the printer was actually faulty and was not operator error. They sent a new main board, a new transfer board, and a new USB stick, and I was extremely thankful. I installed the parts and tested the printer. It worked beautifully. I dialed in the exposure settings again and printed two complete models with no mishaps whatsoever. I started the third print, with same parameters, same resin, same temperature, nothing changed at all. The only thing that printed were the base layers. I figured the file was bad. I chose a different model, resliced the model with the parameters that had worked twice already, and used a new USB. The same thing happened, base layers only. I reset the slice settings to factory recommended. The experimental XP finder printed fine. I resliced another model and used yet another new USB. I made sure the printer started fine and was working normally. I checked after an hour and the printer had frozen (no pun intended) at about 25mm, and the plate would not move at all. I turned off and restarted the machine which let me raise the Z axis with the display board. There were only base layers on the plate. I wash my hands of this printer. Phrozen said from the very beginning they will not refund my money so I am out $1500. Do not buy this printer.

Top Tier quality 3d printing
This is a professional top tier 3d printer, hence the price. I went thru 3 3d printers from a different company that is in the same class of size and everyone of them failed after 35 days. So I thought to myself enough is enough time to spend the money and get a Hi quality 3d printer. The build and execution of the design of the Phrozen Sonic Mega 8KS is top notch. The auto-refill is laid out better I believe than the competing 3d printer. Phrozen uses a electro-mechanical system the build plate and support system has been well thought out also. Print quality exceptionally very good also I like how quiet the machine is. The other 3d printers sounded like it was about to fall apart. A analogy is I had "3 Yugo's and decided what the heck go buy a Bentley". If you want Hi quality and reliability and you are serious about 3d printing buy the Phrozen but remember to spend money this is a Invesment.

Expensive trash made to sound good by YouTube
I got this printer like most people after seeing it on YouTube and everyone on there who got it for free telling us how great it is. It took a little bit to get it dialed in with the settings but for the most part it worked, it was quiet. I was never able to get it to print at the advertised speeds even with the “high speed” resin so it was actually really slow. Every once in a while something would be kind of warped though. I was okay with that but the first time it was moved less than 3 feet without anything happening the LCD controller board ribbon cable just died. I contacted Phrozen since it was under warranty and after 6 weeks of occasionally answering my emails and sending them videos of my troubleshooting they eventually sent me the new cable. They sent the cable for nothing but made me pay to have it shipped from overseas. Within a day of paying them $21 to ship the cable I got an alert from my bank that someone was trying to use my account in the same province that their technical support office is located. One of their own employees was stealing financial information from customers who were being strong armed into paying for shipping bad parts that are covered under the warranty. I informed the person I had been dealing with for the last 6 weeks and they seemed to just blow me off but the cable worked so I just moved on. Originally I had tried to buy the cable to just get things going but at the time they didn’t sell it on their own website.Everything was the same as before, it worked okay but it was super slow. Then about 10 months later I moved. The same thing happened except now it was the entire power supply that just started burning itself up. I contacted support again and this time I tried to just buy the PSU myself but it’s a strange configuration that if you can find it is super expensive. I was able to get the PSU after about a month, put it in and it came right on. The issue now is that I only get enough power to start the prints. No matter what I do or how I change the settings the printer won’t print. I think the PSU they sent doesn’t supply enough voltage to fully cure the resin so as soon as a support starts it the print just fails. Of course the printer is now out of warranty, and maybe I’m wrong and there’s a different reason that everytime it moves parts die? I just want to get rid of it but I’m not sure how to just yet. The entire thing has been difficult to use and the size was great when I got into work. But since it hasn’t worked for 90% of the time I have owned it I hasn’t really mattered as it’s just a big “thing” taking up space not doing anything.

Fantastic printer
Im really enjoying this printer, it's size is great form printing multiple projects at once. I wish there were more quality of life features like the ones featured on competitors newer models (like an on board air filters, or resin vat heater) but nothing else compares to the size on this.
