Wrong shape to hold light strip securely
I wanted a bracket that would press on the light strip so that the strip would not move if/when the adhesive on the strip loosened up. This bracket does not do that very well. The U-shaped channel that is supposed to hold the strip is much larger than necessary. Also, the end of the bracket is too short, does not press on the light strip when the screw is tightened. To allow the bracket to press on the light strip, I had to screw the bracket at an angle so that the end of the bracket touched the light strip. I was installing interior light strip, not thicker exterior light strip. This bracket would probably be perfect for the thicker exterior light strips.For my purposes, a much better bracket would be simply a flat piece of plastic held by a screw, without the U-Channel that this bracket has.
