I like the chrome cap, however, makes it more visible prone to be stolen by your coworkers I use it for framing

I was disappointed in this product because the hexagon crayons did not easily fit in the holders as advertised. I got some 1/2 inch round crayons and tried using them in the holders, but the crayons would push back in the holder even when I tightened it down enough to leave dents in the crayon. I wanted to be able to use them with special needs children who have trouble breaking crayons. The nut that is used to tighten the crayon down comes off easily, so these will not work for me because the nut becomes a choking hazard. The lanyard can be easily removed if it gets in the way. This seemed like a good idea, but I could not get them to work for my needs. I would not recommend these for young children or special needs children.

It was announced as hexagon crayon 1/2” holder, but does not fit

I ordered this to hold 1/2 inch hex crayons, dixon brand. I have a bad habit of dropping/sitting/crushing/etc. my lumber crayons and always have to hold them together with tape, which annoyed me. These little holders prevent all that. The metal cap on the bottom screws off allowing you to push the crayon through the bottom or clean it out if your crayon gets stuck. The collet nut on the top screws onto the wood which is threaded and tightens on your crayon. The lanyard itself isn't really anything to write home about but could be easily modified if you wanted.4 stars because these Didn't easily fit my 1/2 hex crayons out of the box. the finish on the inside of the wood hand wasn't great and I had to go in and file off some high spots and corners to make it fit well.
