Tulip Etimo Rose

My entire life I have always used cheap crochet hooks. Since I began knitting, I have always used quality circular needles, but for some reason it never dawned on me that nice crochet hooks would also make a difference. After purchasing and using 1 hook in a smaller size, I knew that I needed to order my first set. The way that it just glides in the yarn and has the perfect hook to grab your yarn the first time, even embroidery floss or fingering weight is incredible. The grip is so comfortable, the perfect amount of soft/firm and the best shape. It really makes crocheting less harsh on my wrist with prior surgery and my arthritis. I can't believe that it took me so long to try these, but I am so grateful that I did. I highly recommend this brand and this set in particular.

These hooks are phenomenal. They glide through the yarn effortlessly and without any stress or strain on these old hands and wrists. The metal is so smooth it feels silky to the touch. The set is also so pretty. The case looks high end and well made. The scissors are very sharp and come with a protective sheath that matches the case. The only caveat I would make is that these hooks are on the short side so may not be good for people with large hands.

I’ve used many different crochet hooks over the years and these are by far the best, most well made, balanced, smooth, and comfortable hooks. They absolutely never snag, have moderately pointed tips allowing easy penetration of stitches, come in a lovely case and each has a protective “cap”. I’m also investing in several of the smaller sizes that I use for doilies.

I absolutely love these crochet hooks! Everything from the color, to the quality and all the extra bits that came with. They’re so comfortable to use and they feel so luxurious. They’re the perfect go to hooks, and the case is small enough for me to travel with. They’re perfect!

I have been using Clover Amore hooks for years and since I've heard many good things about the Tulip set, I figured I would give these a whirl. First of all the Pros: pretty pink color, beautiful case; love the presentation. The little sparkly tassel is beautiful and I like the accessories included in the case. It's probably the nicest case for any crochet hooks or knitting needles that I have seen. Here is the Con, and this is probably personal to me because I have used another brand for so long, but here it is: There's nothing "wrong" with these hooks, really. It's me. I am used to another hook and I am a speed crocheter so when I use a different hook, things happen, like my yarn starts snagging, and I start splitting stitches. So in examining the shape of the tip of the hook extremely carefully, I can see that the Clover tip is ever so slightly more rounded than the Tulip. It's a very small amount, probably half a millimeter or less. But muscle memory being what it is, it does make a difference. Could I stick it out and use these hooks and get used to them? Sure. But since I am already used to another hook that is working perfectly fine, there really is no reason to. So sadly these are going back although I really love the presentation. They are truly beautiful hooks.

Love these hooks. Only brand I’ll buy now. Fits in my hand well, comfortable and don’t slip out of my hand. Not bulky like some brands and the metal slips through yard well but not too slippery. I also have purchased individual ones of my most used ones. Perfect hooks.
