A pleasant way to spend an afternoon making cider
I'm not really one for making beer or cider, this is often best to leave this to the experts. However, we have an apple tree and never seem to eat the apples which then go to waste so this seemed like a good idea. The press is well made and I had a pleasant afternoon using it to press the apples from my garden to make cider. It was interesting to learn and go through the process of making cider. Hopefully the end product which is now sitting in my garage nicely bottled will be worth it!?

Works fine, but not easy to use & assemble
The kit includes the items listed, and the items work fine, but assembling was a lot more difficult than I was expecting, possibly due to a fault in one of the parts of the press. I have seen videos of customers assembling the press with much more ease, but it took us a good few hours just to put the pole in the hole in the bottom of the press, because the hole was very stiff. Moreover, the lever to press the fruit is actually redundant (unless you are pressing very large amounts of fruit), so you end up using your hands directly to twist the mechanism (rather than the lever), which I find a bit odd. Perhaps this is because the product comes with only 4 wooden bricks, whereas you probably need a few more to actually get the required distance between the lever and the bottom of the press. It still works, but not the way you would expect it to.As for the "pulpmaster" bucket; just be aware that you will end up needing a *drill* to use it. To be fair, it makes sense that you would need something like a drill to use it once you think about it, but this wasn't explicitly stated in the product description.

Great starter kit
A good starter kit with everything needed to make your own cider. I have used this to produce several batches of cider from our orchard and the press is very sturdy and performs well for small quantities.

Disappointing
Delivered promptly but assembly instruction very poor! Pulpmaster bucket split on first use and the item useless! Rang company to complain they said they would ring back. A week later. Still no phone call! Disappointed!

You don’t realise how many apples you actually need to make one gallon of cider!Apparatus worked well and was fun to use

It works!
Feels like it will last a few years. It is a little on the small side but it works a treat for a first timer like me. Only thing missing was some of the camdem tablets or whatever they're called, the tabs you see people using on the Youtube vids to kill off the natrual yeast. The book you get with it is like a history about cider. There is a basic making book in there too but l've not read it yet. l just went to youtube for instructions on what to do. Everyone has their own way.... So now l'm waiting for the end product. If it had the Candem tabs l would of given it 5 stars so its a overall 4.
