Bates Magnetic Light Switch Guard, 2 Pack, Clear, Child Proof Cover, Lock, Wall Switch Guard

This was used to prevent a hidden/blind adjoining light switch from being turned on. It has worked wonderfully for that. The magnets attach it to the screws yet can the cover can be easily removed as necessary. Made of a clear plastic, the look is acceptable in all situations I can think of. It prevents unwanted switching yet can be rmoved without tools. A good find and great product!

Very impressed with the product. Well made, simple and effective design to protect decora switches from accidental activations. Magnets are strong and fit is perfect. I used my two on a single and double switch plate. I will order again. I should clarify this is not a childproof cover. It is designed to prevent accidental activations and that is does very well.

Purchased these items a couple of years ago, and i'm happy with them. Magnets are little weak but considering the circumstances that's to be expected. They stay in place, I might by accident knock them off a couple of times a year.

The Bates Magnetic Light Switch Guard is a decent solution if you’re looking for a simple, clear cover to keep switches from being flipped accidentally. The magnetic design is convenient and installation is effortless. That said, the magnets aren’t as strong as I expected. The guards were easily knocked off the outlet with light contact, which made them less reliable for consistent child-proofing. Overall, they work fine in low traffic areas, but they didn’t stay put as securely as I hoped.

Works as advertised easy to install just place it on the switch and Done 🤣 Not much else can be said if you need a switch cover this is a inexpensive option Easy access to the switch if needed just pull cover off Magnets are strong enough it will not be knocked off by accident This is not child proof so if you require that this is not for you I use mine on a switch connected to motion sensor controlled lights and just needed something to Prevent people from turning it off by accident

Perfect solution to keep wall switches in the on or off position. Easy to apply to switch plate. Simply position the two small magnets in the cover over the metallic screws in cover plate and stop mistaken on and off pushes on light switch. Clear and mostly undetectable, priced right and ships fast. It’s perfect for single or multiple switches on a wall plate.

Works better than I thought it would. And it doesn't look bad. Lets call it it Obvious without being Outlandish. It holds on very tightly, and can be taken on and off easily.

Very happy with this purchase. The cover is clear, so not at all obvious, but deters people from accidentally turning off a switch that should be left on for automations etc. Note that I would not consider this a child-proofing product. It it is held only by magnets to the screws of the switch plate, and easily removed. Also of note: I was concerned about fit when I saw that the measurement of the body of the plate was 4.2", apparently leaving the magnets way out of range of the screws on my standard switch plate. I decided to try it anyway, and it fits perfectly. The length measurement should be amended to include the full length of the item, including the screws.

It does the job. Clear plastic seems of decent quality. Magnets attach easily to switch plate. Mine has three switches and I want one of them on all the time, so it makes it easy/obvious that guests won't accidentally switch off the wrong one. Definitely not child proof (can easily be removed) unless maybe you tape it down or something, but good for what I wanted it to do.

Bought these for two switches that control outdoor Hue bulbs that need constant power. This is a bigger deal for multi-gang switch boxes where it's easy to forget which switch does what. The clear plastic is attractive and almost disappears on the wall. The only downside, is it's easy to accidentally knock them off the wall, ie. if cleaning. The magnets work fine, but the screws they sit on are too small to get a firm grip. Overall these are a good deal and do the job just fine.

These are fantastic for Shabbat, as I can stack them up and put them over an unused outlet during the week then pop them over the light switches for Shabbat. Makes them easy to store without getting lost and easy to use when needed. Would highly recommend.

The magnet was so weak. Did nothing to prevent my son from taking it off to access the light switch
