The booklet that comes with it is titled “instruction”, but it is nothing more than a parts list. There are no instructions. But, using the picture to get the parts together is easy enough. I bought this for examining and oiling pocket watch jewels. Worked beautifully for that. The arm to lock the eyepiece is not the greatest, but works well enough. Just don’t put too much pressure on the eyepieces. The light feature is nice and works well. I think the quality is worth the price.

See title. The base is rectangular so if one move the scope too much laterally, it will become unbalanced and flip over. Overall a good buy, especially since I got it refurbished (by Amazon) and looks and works like new.

20x is too narrow field of view

Wow. I got this used on Amazon for $97 for SMD and microsoldering. I almost got one the AMSCOPE SE400z train after watching Louis Rossman, but I found this so cheap I had to buy it since It was sooooo much less than the amscope and it honestly seems almost identical. I was using a koolertron digital microscope, which I actually really liked, but it had flaws that made it better for inspection than actual work. I took a chance and ordered this, and I am stunned by the amazing image quality and usability for the money. Even at 150, it makes the digital one I like so much look like a joke! You can’t describe the difference. Although digital was good I was thrilled with the 3D images that were possible with this and the real time imaging, which the digital could not do. Even the slightest lag made a big difference. I suddenly feel like I have a superpower and that I’m drastically more capable of repairs I literally once believed impossible. I can’t speak for coin viewing and whatever else people might use, but I can say, doing think you have to pay over 200 for the amscope because this is WAAAY Useable for microsoldering. Unbelievable, really. Although there may be better out there, I think the difference is mostly in the stand! (This stand is great, but I would love to upgrade eventually, but it’s DEF not a NEED!) if you’re going to spend more, then I think you’ll have to spend A LOT more to beat this value! For smd, microsoldering, and pcb inspection, you will not regret this purchase!

I give it 2 stars for build quality. The description is not accurate the vertical working distance is more like 5" and not enough to much with it other than just inspecting.

Superb scope for doing engraving and other fine work. Has amazing clarity and great distance to object clarity. This scope would be great at twice the price!

I like it. Has heavy base and flexible armature.
