TheraICE Migraine Relief Cap PRO, Headache Hat Ice Pack Mask Cold Head Wrap

If you have Fibromyalgia or migraines, you need this in your life! I have suffered with both for nearly 20 years, and its been awful, but the TheraICE Migraine Relief Cap is bringing relief that I have only ever been able to dream about. I was worried about something hugging my head being triggering... but it actually is relieving! The gel maintains just the right amount of cold for the recommended 15-20 minutes of use. The weight of the cap is soothing while laying down. The thickness and light blocking when pulled down over the eyes is amazing! The fabric doesn't trigger or irritate the skin (unlike some other brands). I am so grateful. I love that i can have my hair up in a ponytail or in a bun. I like that it can fit several sizes of heads, so whatever size head you have, you will certainly like this cap! I like that it came with a plastic storage bag to keep it in while it isn't being used (some don't). Also, if you're into the cuteness factor, the polar bear logo is adorable. Seriously, this is the cap to buy. You wont regret it!

I’ve always used ice packs for severe migraines, but I was skeptical about these caps. This one made a believer out of me! I’m telling you- GET IT if you suffer from migraines. I keep it in the freezer (double bagged in freezer bags so it does not absorb freezer smells). The cold is initially so intense that it’s painful- but it does become more tolerable after a couple minutes. You can leave it out for about 5 minutes first if needed. The cold LASTS too. It’s worth every penny. I only wish I’d found it sooner.

I wanted to write a review to spare the next buyer from ruining their migraine hat like I did. The hat has a smooth sleek fabric texture, a comfortable gel filling, and a slight snugness around the head when worn (that I found really enjoyable). It blocked out light well. When stored in the freezer and then placed on the head it was extremely cold. Even at room temperature it always feels a little cool to the touch, which I enjoyed. I slept like a baby with it on. Two important things: 1. If you're going to put it in a fridge or freezer make sure it is in a sealed bag. 2. It cannot be washed (other than spot treatment). The manufacturer does disclose this information, so I did not deduct rating points for this. I made the mistake of putting my hat in the freezer without a bag and even though my freezer is fairly clean every odor in the freezer leeched into the hat. It stinks. I tried to wear it anyways and the weird stale freezer smell then got onto my sheets as I napped on them. It was at this time I realized the hat is advertised as only being wipe-clean. You are not supposed to submerge it. I wiped it and the smell remained, so I then decided to risk hand-washing it in a wash basin. The hat seemed to be in good condition afterwards, but the smell remained. At this point I decided that the smell was too unbearable and distracting so I had nothing to lose by putting it in the washing machine (with cold water). The washing machine made the fabric lose it's tightness and made the gel filling become lumpy. And if that's not enough, I can still somehow smell the faintest note of the freezer. I'm not sure that it'll be usable in its current condition, but I will try. I liked the product in theory. It was very comfortable and it did help with headaches. For my own preferences though I would have preferred a product that was more durable and washable, especially something that's being placed against your skin that might collect oils, makeup remnants, and other dirt over time that you'd want to wash off.

Update: My husband was really impressed by the design and was hoping it would help with his head pain. However, he could barely get it on his head. He is bald and is always clean shaven. One size does NOT fit all. Unfortunately will drop to 3 stars. Huh, will not let me drop to 3 stars! Original post: I bought this for two reasons. One - I have migraines and these have been a blessing. Second - I now visit a pain clinic to help with my migraines. The procedure requires ice for up to a week afterwards in the back of my head. Pros This stays on your head where you need it. Gets cold quickly Freezes and stays cold as long as others made of the gel. 15 to 20 ish minutes Has nice amount of compression but could see it being so snug if you have a larger head. Con As someone else said, it is VERY COLD out of the freezer. My eyes can't tolerate and my ears are barely able to. The frig is not enough cold for long enough to address my needs. I will definitely be keeping and ordering a second. Will see what I can add to the eyes and ear areas to reduce the cold. Would be great if the manufacturer would consider doing the same. Would have given 5 stars if I didn't have to find a solution for eyes and ears.

I sometimes will get headaches on one side of my head, and many times it would last for a couple days. I heard about these caps and thought I would try it out since this has gotten great reviews. Well it def worked for me. Within 30 minutes my headache was gone. I will say that it is extremely cold once it gets out of the freezer but that only lasts a few minutes. I actually liked the extreme cold. The high coldness also lasted for about about 30 minutes, then it started to ease, which was fine for my needs.

I’ve used different eye masks usually the gel bead kind and they only last about 5 min and I like to sleep with them on so I wanted something that would last longer I went with others reviews because so many said it lasts a long time and that it’s very cold some said they had to leave it out a couple minutes just to be able to wear it and I completely agree but definitely not hating it I love that it’s extremely cold the compression is very comfortable it covers the temples which is something I was also looking for since the regular eye masks don’t cover anything it’s a comfortable thickness not to bulky didn’t take long at all to be completely cold in the freezer one review I was concerned about was some said it had a odor upon opening which it did once I put it in the freezer I didn’t smell it as much so I’m extremely satisfied I’ve been wearing it for about 15 min so far and it’s still cold I will be ordering another one for backup 🥰

This cap is pure magic. I leave one in my freezer at all times. The relief is immediate as everything in my head just slows down. It's as every nerve ending gets a chill pill - incredibly helpful during a migraine. I find this lasts for about 30-45 minutes, so I ended up getting a 2nd one for bad migraine days. While I can put it on my head immediately because of the neoprene sleeve, I don't recommend it. Start slow. putting it over the eye before that part of the mask has a chance to stabilize with the room temperature is uncomfortable for the delicate area. Also, going to extremes has spiked my migraine feeling for the short term, so slowly slipping it on ended up feeling so much better. the mask covers the entire crown of the head, eyes, and down to the base of the skull. I have a larger sized head, and this does not squeeze my head uncomfortably. It balances compression with squeezing.

I will buy this over and over. I have tried the others and this is far and above superior. These people should practically pay me to be a spokesperson bc as soon as I meet someone with migraines I send them the link or tell them about it. I give them as gifts. I even sleep with it when I don't have a headache. Great in the car if you are light sensitive. The compression is amazing and helps stay in place. Helps with sinuses and cold helps pain behind my eyes. If I were TheraIce the only improvement I would make is to create a cap that covers the top of the head that includes gel and stays tight as well as goes down the back of the neck and over the shoulders.

Migraine homies should definitely try this

Do not put it in the freezer, it is too cold and feels uncomfortable. Rather keep it in the refrigerator, as you can immediately wear it when you feel a headache coming on.
