Fun and small - this amp is a great addition to any lineup
Simple, straightforward. No computer needed (thankfully) this amp sounds good. I found the speaker a bit shrill, so I hooked up a looper pedal and broke it in for a few hours. Ended up swapping with a $40 Celestion 8-fifteen, broke that in, and prefer it to the stock speaker. Still give 5 stars because this amp has a lot of practical usability features. It's small, but not silly-small. It looks like an amp. It can get pretty loud, but sounds good at "2" and that's the reason I got it. I chose the model with effects. I don't use them, but they seem fine. I do like the 4 presets. The clean is a solid pedal platform and the overdrive, "crunch" and lead options just make it more usable to jam with. NOTE: This is my first Marshall. I have played a lot of them but never really felt I needed to buy one, they are everywhere you go. This one is replacing a katana 50. I have the artist and that is great but the katana 50s are a bit digitaly. This little marshall, while of course solid state, sounds good across the volume spectrum. IMHO, of course.

Great little practice amp.
I’ve had this amp for 7 months and it works great and the sound is awesome. It’s a great practice amp and small so it doesn’t take up too much space.

didn't know I could get a marshall for 200 bucks should have a long time ago.
just plain sounds awesome, lots of variability, effects are good. Small and inexpensive. Plenty of loud.

Get it if you like what my comment says!
This amp can get very loud. The effects are cool! Put an overdrive pedal on the overdrive channel 2 on the amp or have a distortion pedal on the clean channel. That’s the best way for this amp to have high gain. I like to play heavy/modern hard rock/post grunge-metal. I love this amp and the look of this amp especially the Marshall logo!!!!

A little overpriced -
This is fine as a beginner amp - however, the price is not a beginner price tag. There are better more affordable amps out there. I was looking for an alternate lower wattage amp to play instead of my Vox AC15 - I started looking at the Katana 50MkII and then saw this for a couple bucks less. I should've stuck with the Katana!

It has been 2 years since I got this amp and I got no issues with it. Still works perfectly. It has a good sound and a lot of sound modification options. I would buy it again any day.

Great Sound, Missing Setup Guide
The Marshall MG15GFX delivers excellent tone with its 4 channels and 15 watts of power, perfect for practice or small gigs. The sound is clear, and the effects options are a great addition for experimenting with different tones. However, I do wish there was a full manual included to help with the setup process, as it can be a bit tricky to fully explore all the features without it. Overall, a solid amp with great sound but could use a more detailed guide for beginners.
