My husband and I recently played golf near St. Louis and the little black gnats were EVERYWHERE. I layered Off Deep Woods with Repel! and they were still coming after me. Then our playing partner mentioned trying this stuff that he found at a hardware store and -no joke - after spraying around the 8th hole, neither my husband or I noticed ANY bugs the rest of the time! (And I’m one of those super attractive blood types who usually gets eaten alive) I love this stuff PLUS it smells nice. Between this and SunBum, being outside this summer will be so much more pleasant.

I had purchased the Bug Soother Spray for my dog as we spent a 4 day weekend in the Adirondacks on Long Pond. This product effectively kept mosquitos and black flies off my dog. My girlfriend and I used it as well when we ran low on Off and it worked amazingly. My dog had no adverse reaction to it as she did with Soresto collar. I highly recommend!!!!!

Iused this on the golf courses I play at - one is covered with biting gnats and this was great. Suffered through the front 9 then applied this at the clubhouse before starting the back nine and what a difference - the gnats were still there but not lighting or biting. Another course I played at has lots of mosquitoes. Used this and it slowed them down but not as well as it stopped the gnats.

Nice smelling, non-toxic and works on sand gnats. I'm not convinced that it does a good job on mosquitos but it's hard to find something to prevent gnat bites here in the coastal south. I always carry the small bottle with me, you just never know when you're going to run into swarms of those nasties!

I have used bug soother for years and it always smells really good and works really well however, I ordered from Amazon directly must’ve been expired because it smells terrible.if I hadn’t already used it I would’ve returned it.

I think this stuff is working. Keeping the flies away Is a major happening around here. I am around animals alot. I'm hoping I won't have to use it over and over all day. Hey it smells great too.

I have been using commercial and chemical-grade bug repellents this season and previously. This season, I could no longer stand the idea of spraying myself down with a chemical. What I have been using was in an aerosol can that smelled terrible, was not environmentally friendly, and was oily. Hence I had to look for a better solution, so I found BugSoother and was hopeful this approach would be better for me and the environment. Sadly, it just does not work for me.The reviews are accurate, it smells nice, and I like the idea of the handy spray bottles, which are better than a bulky can. Some user reviews here claim that no oily residue is left on your skin; I did not experience that. The site also claims no oily residue left behind; again not my experience. Even now, as I type this review, there is a sticky, weird feeling residue on my arms and legs. Also, the product site claims that the frequency of reapplication is typically 1 hour and can repel up to 10 hours. That's not the case here. I walk my dog, and when one bug or gnat appears, I spray all over, then less than 3 minutes later, they are back again, and this horrible attack continues until Sophie and I get back indoors.This product did not work for me; I am still being served up as an offering as a tribute to the bugs and gnats every time I walk out with or without this product. I do appreciate being able to return this product, and I do hope that my experience helps the organization look into why this did not work for me.
