I have 2 great danes that eat twice a day...and yes I feed them a high quality hard food. I was always worrying when I was running late getting home from work cause the pups didn't get fed on time unless I was there. So, I decided to get this automatic feeder for them (it arrived really fast). This is a great feeder for me because of the amount of food that needs to be dispensed for my large dogs - it gives me the ability to set the right amount and also provides multiple feeding times that can be set (I only use 2 feeding times). I've had them for awhile now and they work like a charm - zero issues! You can also set up the app for mobile operating, which I haven't done, but will one of these days - so I can't speak on how the app. works, sorry! I highly recommend this feeder though!! Super easy to set up and program, holds A LOT of food so I only have to fill it maybe once every say 10 days. I also love that it vacuum pressure seals to keep the food fresh. It is expensive, and I had to buy 2 - but totally worth it!! I love this feeder and my dogs do too!!!

For starters, I should say that I gave this product four stars only because i've only owned it for 3 months now. Also I rarely give 5 stars to anything. Previously, we used a much cheaper brand and model, and it sort of got the job done with a lot of headaches and shortcomings. When that company went out of business, I could no longer get parts for the ones I had and needed to make a change. I could still get what appears to be the same exact model, but under a different brand name for about $46. But I wanted to do better. So these Dokoo units sounded like a good thing, but the price is pretty high, considering that you really never know how good something is until you use it for a while. Also, since we have two dogs, the cost is really high for 2. However, since we are often gone for two days at a time, we really have a need for dependable dog feeders. So I pulled the trigger. Relax!! I didn't shoot the dogs. After using these for 3 months now, I must say that these dog feeders solved just about every shortcoming that the previous cheaper ones had. Not one single jam yet. They are heavy, wide and stable so that the dogs can't push them around. They hold enough food to feed our two 75 pound dogs for almost a week. The button layout and user logic is superb. The internal clock chip seems to run at a fairly accurate speed. The stability and wide opening on the top make them very easy to fill. The removable and replaceable feeding pan is convenient for cleaning or substituting for something quieter. The voice recorder is very clear, and my dogs react well to my recorded command. And it just functions flawlessly. Some reviews have said that the seal of the lid starts to leak and that the vacuum is ineffective at that point. We have not experienced that yet and hope not to. I really don't feel the need to have the food vacuum feature and hope that a failure in the system would not cause the vacuum to run continuously and make the system unworkable. I guess we'll cross that bridge if we get to it. I'm glad they didn't drive the price up even more by making it have a camera, since I already have a better camera in the room that wakes to pet activities. After three months of use, I really have no complaints about the system. If it can continue this way for several years, it is well worth the money and will deserve 5 stars at that point.

This thing is a bit bigger than I thought it was going to be now that it's in my kitchen but that also means that it holds plenty of food. It looks like I can fit nearly a month of my dog's food in this thing! I hadn't noticed the battery backup feature when I ordered it and I was happy to find that when unpacking the unit. I ended up already testing this out during a recent power outage; the unit still kept time and still dispensed food when it was supposed to. Awesome. The unit has been working great for the last few weeks and it makes just enough noise when the kibble hits the bowl that my furball knows when to go eat but it is otherwise pretty quiet. Between this unit and a larger water dispenser we can now escape for a weekend if we need to without having to worry about the puppers getting food and water. This unit is expensive but so far it has been worth it.

UPDATE: I told the company about the issue, and they're sending me a new one! It works wonderfully. Best product support (super fast response/fix) for the best product. 10/10 recommend! 4/15/26 - Such a great product - have it plugged in and it works great, only issue I have with it is that the screen sometimes doesn't work, but after a while it usually recalibrates itself and does the job great. We also have a second one that we bought 2 years ago, and that one works perfectly. Makes feeding time super easy and keeps the food fresh!

The only nice thing about this machine is the size. But that’s it. Other than that, I would not buy it again. Spend your money somewhere else. It is not worth the big price tag. I will include 2 of the biggest reasons I am not happy with this machine: Number 1: The clock on this machine is backwards. It uses a 24-hour time system. So, let’s say you want to set a feeding time for 6:00PM, instead of setting it to 18:00, you have to set it to 06:00, and if you want to set a feeding time for 6:00AM, you have to set it to 18:00 instead of 06:00. Nonsensical. Number 2: I bought this machine for its suction, vacuum-seal system. That was the selling point for me. That’s the whole reason I bought this machine. It used to work at first, then, suddenly, after 2 weeks, it just stopped working. It still makes the vacuum sound, but then when I open it to check if the air was sucked out, there wouldn’t be any sound of the air reentering the food chamber again like it used to do. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I’ve been using this automatic feeder outside for my Great Pyrenees puppy, and it’s been amazing. The large capacity means I don’t have to constantly refill it, which is a lifesaver with such a big pup. The vacuum seal keeps the food really fresh, even in the Florida humidity, and the bowl height is great for a growing large breed. It handles the bigger kibble with no issues, and I love that it has a backup battery option in case the power goes out. Since I keep it outdoors, I set it up under some cover, and it’s been holding up really well. Overall, this feeder has made things so much easier and more reliable for me. Highly recommend it if you have a big dog!

Good quality. Holds an entire medium sized bag of dog food. Super easy to program. This is one of my most favourite things I’ve bought off Amazon. Works perfectly everytime. No more guessing if the dogs been fed by another family member while you were out. I recommend it to all my dog owner friends.

Tengo un perro grande que tengo que mantener en dieta para que no sube en su peso. Me ayuda bastante dar le exacto monto que necesita en 4 porciones durante el día. Me encanta que no tengo que servir del paquete cada rato. El aparato almacena aproximadamente mitad del bulto grande que compro y lo almacena en vacuum, entonces las croquetas están siempre frescas. A mi perrita encantada y se acostumbró inmediatamente. Lo recomiendo ampliamente. Muy feliz con mi compra.

Finally got a good product that does what it’s supposed to do. Just feed the dog on time with the right amount. The vacuum is a good idea. Keeps the food from smelling. Should last a long time with a good warranty.

This is a large unit. It feeds our big dog for weeks. Easy to set up and can change the amount of food for each serving. Very impressed. Update: we have had 2 of these for about a year. We really love them but one stopped working. After much investigation we found that the "'motherboard" had rusted out. We were looking at buying another one but they are now more than double the price. That's insane.

For the first week everything was working really good, when we was removed the cover we can ear the seal unsealing.. not anymore.
