Can the slicer also slice mushrooms?

I'm not sure what part of the description people aren't understanding. It's an EGG slicer, so don't rate it poorly or be dissappointed with it, if it breaks when you attempt to use it for something other than what it is intended for. For instance, you wouldn't attempt to use your cell phone for a hammer....it would break.

can i slice potatoes with this?

I would not suggest using this product for potatoes, it completely broke after my third use while slicing green olives for egg salad.
