My first one was the original Alpaka Zip Pouch in white VX fabric when they still made white ones. It was exactly what I wanted it when I was searching for a wallet and I still believe that to this day. After 3 years, the fabric held up wonderfully but the white VX fabric got dirty. I didn't mind the stains but Alpaka released the Alpaka Zip Pouch Pro and it basically made the Zip Pouch BETTER! So I figured it's time for an upgrade! The craftsmanship is wonderful. After using my original Zip Pouch for 3 years, not a single stitch was undone, not a single hole. Everything is made very well and you can tell when you hold it. The durability is some of the best I've seen for a non-cordura or non-leather product. No stitch was undone and no holes were formed from abrasion. In fact, my original Zip Pouch held up so well that I'm repurposing it after buying the Zip Pouch Pro. The quality of material is EXCELLENT. I absolutely LOVE VX fabric (x-pac). If you're not familiar with x-pac - LOOK IT UP! It's great. The Zip Pouch and Zip Pouch Pro is made using VX fabric with waterproof ykk zippers and hyperlon zip pulls. All of these materials FEELS premium especially when used on bags, pouches, etc. Trust me, I own MANY different bags and pouches - in fact, I am a huge fan of Mission Workshop (have their $600 backpack coming in the mail!) and they use similar materials. However, they are EXPENSIVE so for Alpaka to use the SAME materials as another company offering $500+ products for a fraction of the price should tell you everything you need to know about Alpaka's quality of materials. The Zip Pouch Pro and many of their other models is an amazing product and I will continue to keep buying it as my main wallet.
