Exceptional quality.
High quality steel. Very sharp now though I haven't put a burr on it yet. Second tool I've gotten from DFM and both are top notch and good value.

not bad tool
its not bad for a cheap tool. it got the job done but the edges are not perfectly smooth. i noticed that there are little cut marks from manufacturing so you wouldnt get a perfect edge. or at least one i got. for rough scraping it will do the work fine.

Sweet!
These were my first card scrapers, and I’m really happy I got them! I was reluctant because anytime you mention card scrapers the conversation always shifts to how hard they are to sharpen, but if you put a small amount of effort in learning how to do it, it’s pretty easy. I had a sharp hook within 20 minutes of trying and now I can bang it out in a couple minutes. Glue lines are perfectly cleaned up in seconds, smooths out wood leaving the grain open, levels out uneven joinery, breaks corners, removes tool marks, smooths tear out, among other things. Very cool. I always make a storage holder for new tools and added a compartment to my French cleat to store them! At first I thought about making one from an old handsaw blade, but cardscrapers are cheap. If I have the extra money (and these aren’t much), I always buy a USA made product. Check this guy in particular out, he shows the manufacturing process on Instagram, and shows some of the new stuff he’s working on. Really makes you want to support him when you see the owner of the company grinding away making this stuff.

Functional
Quality scraper. Holds burr well and functions nicely. The metal is of a decent thickness so that it doesn’t collapse on you, but not so thick as to cause hand fatigue quickly.

I thought all card scrapers were the same.
I bought these, as they seemed like a good value for a two pack of card scrapers. The blue color was also kinda neat, compared to the standard steel everyone make them out of. I figured, other than color, these are just plain card scrapers. I couldn't have been more wrong. I don't normally write reviews, but this card scraper has made my prep work so much better. I've been using these to remove old finishes before I do sanding and a new finish. These card scrapers came already squared on their edges and needed very minimal work to get them sharpened. It only took a handful of swipes on my diamond stones to get a fresh, square edge. I then pulled and turned the corners using my burnisher. I ended up with a very sharp and clean edge with very minimal work. Touching them up with my burnisher between honings is a breeze. So, yeah. Didn't expect to be impressed by a flat piece of steel. I'll be buying more of their stuff, for sure, in the future.
