Hawos B002 Billy 200 Grinder, 1.5 Kg, 600 W, Wood

When the Covid pandemic hit I thought it would be the right time to learn how to do stuff and a home mill as on the "to do" list for a while. After quite a bit of reading and researching online I settled for Hawos B002 Billy 200 as it does grind using stones and it is powerful enough for home or artisanal use. It works like a dream: the setup was easy (make sure you remove the transport screws that secure the mechanism during shipping!) and the instructions were fool proof. The lever that sets the course to fine is easy to operate as well (we tend to use it on fine). Make sure you get a decent sieve so you can separate the bran (if you are making white wheat flour). There is nothing more satisfying then milling your own flour when you need it; also for sourdough starter you can do it a LOT easier with freshly milled flour versus the supermarket bleached and processed flour (hint: it does not work with supermarket flour). Get one, it will put a smile on your face and help you eat healthier, less processed food.

A fantastic bit of kit. We are delighted with it and have enjoyed making bread with freshly milled wheat straight from the farm. Just about zero food miles in our loaf!

Dieses etwas einfacher gestylte Gerät besitzt lt. Hersteller die selbe Technik wie die Premium Geräte diese Marke. Da es bei mir nicht in der Küche (zu groß!) sondern im Vorratskeller steht, war das Aussehen zweitrangig. Dei Mahlleistung, nach mehreren Kilogramm Getreide, ist absolut überzeugend, die Betriebsgeräusche eher gering. Obwohl ich im Wesentlichen grobes Backschrot verwende, ist auch die Leistung bei feinster Einstellung sehr gut. Das so erhaltene Vollkornmehl unterscheidet sich nicht sicht-/fühlbar von einem gekauften Produkt. Der verbaute Motor (habe das Holzgehäuse interessehalber geöffnet, geht recht einfach) sieht sehr solide aus und scheint kein "Billig-China-Schrott" zu sein. Ich bin allerdings kein Motorenfachmann und Langzeiterfahrungen mit dem Gerät stehen z.Zt. noch aus. Fazit: Alles in Allem ein augenscheinlich solides Gerät mit sehr guten Gebrauchseigenschaften und hoffentlich langer Lebensdauer.

Ero abbastanza indeciso per il costo, che non è davvero trascurabile. (quasi 400 euro) per un regalo. Però devo dire che è davvero valida, funziona ottimamente, ed è gradevole vederla in funzione. Ci sono molti altri modelli e marche che costano meno, ma, credo, per il momento che se dovessi acquistare un altro oggetto... riprenderei un'altra di questo tipo...

Für ein Budget bis 350€ kommt nur Billy 200 mit 650 Watt in Betracht. Es ist mit Multiplex Platte verbaut aber trotzdem sehr schön und gut verarbeitet. Ich bin dabei die Getreidebehaelter auch mit Multiplen zu bauen, damit es zusammenpassen. Ausserdem ist es leise beim Mahlen. Das Digital Sound Meter GSH 8922 zeigt nur 78 - 83 dB (A) unmittelbar daneben an. Es ist sehr guter Wert! Bei 1,5 Mahlgrad ist Dinkelmehl fein genug. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Billy 200, preisgünstig, formschön und gut. Eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

Funziona molto bene, anche se è un po' troppo caro rispetto ad altre macchine equivalenti. Le istruzioni dovrebbero essere un po' più dettagliate. Ho suggerito al costruttore di raccomandare di farlo girare a vuoto per un minuto quando si è scaldato troppo, per non far scaldare troppo la farina.

Sauber verarbeitete, schwere Mühle mit gutem Mahlergebnis. Immer frisches Mehl für selbstgebackenes Brot uvam. Absolut pflegeleicht, robust und unkompliziert. Empfehlung!
