Installed this as a hoist for a triple extension ladder to store in the garage roof space. Rated at 50kg is works superbly, even the brake holds the ladder in place. Criticisms, the hooks do not lift equally due to the single pulley configuration, not a problem if you are only lifting a bike. I will modify the hooks so they are a little more stable for lifting a ladder. Opportunity here for the vendor to create a new product. Overall quality product representing good value for money.

Great Product, I didnt use this for my bike but to lift my thule roof box up into the roof of my garage. Good qualty construction and easy to follow instructions. Would recomend the instilation is done by 2 people, saves a lot of up and down ladder time if doing it by your self.

For the money it is good. Some have criticised the hooks as being too flat and prone to slip off.Maybe, but it is a simple matter to bend the flat steel to be more hook like! Because it uses only one rope between the two pulleys, the hook with the lightest load will rise first.

With slight modification makes great lift for a ladder.

Installation assez simple mais par contre il faut aider la montée du vélo .La corde est très longue , je vais sans doute installé un treuil manuel pour plus de facilité.

These are a good buy and do what they advertise they will do. Any reviews that say otherwise are because 1. The installer failed the install or 2. An unexpected manufacturing glitch (and that does happen). Yes, the rope feels like it could be better quality, but out of the box it looks like it is sturdy enough to get you going and to be used for some time. Replacing it out of the box is more of a personal choice than a necessity. I recommend you do your research on how to install the product that best suits the situation you're dealing with (i.e. Garage with exposed rafters vs. Finished Garage, etc...). I had to mount mine onto a board which was secured to the studies behind a finished garage ceiling. Measure Twice, Cut Once - or in other words, measure how you will do the install and you'll be fine. Also, I did use my own screws instead of what came with them and only as a preference, not as a necessity. The kids were able to raise and lower the bikes. Good product!!! I'll buy another one for out next bike addition.
