I like this and it has worked out great for my 2 dogs. One thing to note which I think is the case on many models of these- you really have to switch it to the locked setting in between each time you use it- or else it will very likely accidentally get triggered in your pocket etc. and your dog can get shocked. That the only part about it that is inconvenient but I’m not sure there would be an easy remedy. I do like this enough that I’ve rebought it twice now (we keep losing the remote).

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐This shock collar works amazing! It has really helped with excessive barking and keeps my dog from running too far away. The settings are easy to adjust, and it’s been an effective training tool when used correctly. The battery lasts a long time, and the collar is comfortable for my dog to wear. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone working on training their dog.

FIRST: If you have never used an Electronic Shock Collar, please read instructions well! Honestly, if it is your first time, please go to Petco or someone familiar with these collars to show you how to properly use them.Make sure the actual collars are turned off and the remote is in the locked position. Fit the collars around your dog’s neck. Make sure you fit it as manual says. Confused? There are plenty YouTube videos on how to use these properly.I have a 4 year old German Shepard and a 2 year old silver lab. My Shepard is a dainty athlete… sprints the yard constantly. She weighs 55-60lbs. My lab is a powerhouse 98lbs. His neck is thick. He’s just a tank.I have NEVER used the shock feature on the collar. I made it a big deal that they have a cool collar and every morning they come to me to put on their ESC. Day usually goes by and I take it off in the evening.I use the “tone” button 99% of the time (on level 2-4). When I press the tone button they know to leave it.A couple of times I’ve pressed the vibration button (on level 1 with GSD & level 2 with lab). For example I planted new fruit trees and I knew they would be extra curious. Tried the tone button the first couple times they checked it out, but it wasn’t enough… they tried to dig them up. Since I was making a demanding statement to “stay away”, I pushed the vibration button. * I DID NOT SHOCK **. After they got vibrated they took off running away from the trees and have not touched them since.I’m just giving you MY experience with ESC collars. I don’t aim to hurt my dogs… because you CAN seriously injure your dog when shocking (please read about this). This collar is used to help train your dog safely. If you’re not going to be consistent, don’t use this form of training.Once again, I HAVE NEVER SHOCKED MY DOGS! Actually, believe it or not, all I have to do is put the remote in my hand & they are aware of what it is. Your fur babies trust you so much…true story, my dogs don’t even have to have their collars on to follow instructions. If I have the remote in my hand, they think their collars are on.Our dogs are smart! Give them the chance to get praise! Unless a serious situation arises where your dog or someone is in danger, please don’t shock! It could stimulate emotions and reactions you don’t want.I rate these a 5/5 for performance, durability, range, vibration & all perks

I do love it, but the clips broke on the collar and I am not sure how to find a suitable replacement.It is effective for jumping on people and when my dog tries to jump on the counter. Just need a new clip.

Good product but waterproof is not consistent. I have 2 dogs and I’ve gone through 3 collars that failed due to water. 1 collar failed first time the dog jumped in the river.

Battery lasts a long time. I think I only charge it maybe twice a month. It’s durable. My dog tries to chew it but it still works great. It has the shock part but we really only use the vibration and sound. The sound is loud. You are able to adjust the level of sound, vibration and shock. I haven’t had any issues with it not working in water. My dog likes to run through sprinklers and the water hose. She also has responded well to it. Her recall has gotten a lot better. It has truly helped a lot with training.

Got this for my dog when we got a new cat in the house. He was barking, jumping, growling, etc. at her and couldn't be convinced to calm down. He'd had shock collars in the past for barking, but those broke and we never replaced them, as his barking problem wasn't really a problem anymore.Having the remote to trigger the warning and deliver the shock made training him to get along with our cat so much easier. The alarm and shock got his attention and he quickly learned the expectations. Now the dog and the cat live in harmony - he doesn't go for her even when she jumps on his back and tries to play. He knows she is part of the family now. I am happy because I can be at peace knowing my animals are safe and happy.For those worried about the shock, I tried it myself on my hand before I put it on my dog. It is definitely uncomfortable, but probably not how you are expecting. It was more of a very fast vibration type of sensation than an electric shock. It reminds me of those shock pens that people used as pranks. After testing it on myself, I was confident that the dog could handle it, and it wasn't cruel to do when he needed correction. So, hopefully that offers some peace of mind for those of you who might be anxious about getting a collar.My kids didn't like the idea - that's one reason I did it myself, to show them it wasn't as bad as they were imagining- and I told them that discipline opens the door to freedom in this case. Our dog was spending a lot of time in his crate because he was going after the cat. But once he learned to be disciplined around her, he would be more free to be out and about. And that's what happened - he learned how to behave and now he is more free. So that's something else to consider.
